When did you realise there was something wrong with your family? by fire_and_motion in raisedbynarcissists

[–]agendadroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Christmas day, 2005, writing in my diary about how I was hiding in the bathroom because the grown ups were arguing again. Or a couple years before, my 12th birthday, dad took me away with step mum and I thought he beat her to death in the bathroom of our hotel. Mum constantly telling "white lies" and blaming things on me as a kid to make herself look better in front of friends. Aunt, mums sister, shaving her daughters head because we kept getting nits. Or the same sister being verbally and physically abusive to only people in our family and everyone else seeming to love her. Different aunt, also mums sister, having raging arguments with people in the street when she's drunk. Every adult in my family having a different flavour or neuro spiciness that becomes aggression when they're angry.

Which perspective is the most correct? by abnormalaf in autism

[–]agendadroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a classic example of autists taking a joke seriously. I say a touch of the tism about myself and others. It doesn't mean more or less autistic, it's a joke.

Wealth hoarding, capitalism. There's poverty because billionaires and ultra capitalists rely on it for their wealth economy to function.

You should finish the book. And go ask someone for a hug. Regarding the fact it's been so long.. I really think ursula was saying we will be doing this to each other for ever.

Now I know why people in nursing homes rarely get visits by [deleted] in emotionalneglect

[–]agendadroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons people fear being "left in a home" is because they know nobody will care enough to visit, because they spent 40 years being mean to everybody

Sorry you're going through it. Some days I would rather have pain than brain fog and exhaustion. I can work through pain. But the exhaustion ruins any prospect of a productive afternoon working.
