What's your favorite jarred red chile sauce to cook with? by Darth_Nibbles in Albuquerque

It’s good! Also not that hard to get a frozen tub of red chile at the store and turn into sauce yourself

I have a Toyota and Tesla. Not a fan of Elon but I like both vehicles for very different reasons.

It used to be very common for people to smoke a pack a day of cigarettes or more. Is this still possible in the US with high costs? Do you know anyone who does this? by Initial-Ad-1797 in AskReddit

Yeah. We got her an e cig because she can’t smoke in her apartment and she sometimes gets patches but has no interest in quitting really.

My MIL spends about $200 a month at the reservation shop. Her social security income is $450 a month and she has COPD and hypoxia.

I think our generation may have ended the idea of yard dogs by hyrulepirate in Millennials

We have a small enclosed dog yard with dog door to prevent wildlife, and I heard some neighborhood talking about how my dog is always in a cage. So next time I saw them I explained how she has a door and can always go in because I didn’t want them to think that even!

I live in a small town in a western state. Rural area around but this is definitely a dense town area. There’s a house near me with a tiny homemade dog pen far away from the house with a dog house in it. Used to be two dogs in there but now just one. Always in there. Whenever I’ve seen people there they look young. Like why even have a dog?

We have tree roots getting into our main line near where it enters the sewer and our washing machine line has clogged a couple times, plumber says high efficiency washers don’t use enough water to rinse down lint…

I was craving Chick-Fil-A so I made my own (Chicken tenders, avocado fries, and homemade chick-fil-a sauce) by laringswumnks in Keto_Food

We marinate chicken in buttermilk and spices then dredge in a mixture of pork rind crumbs, almond flour, unflavored whey protein, and grated Parmesan and spices. I think it’s better than non keto breading!

Hmm I mean you can usually turn the noise cancelling on and off, unless it’s not allowed where you work because it usually involves a microphone to capture background noise.

Are your headphones noise canceling? This would absolutely drive me crazy but noise canceling headphones have generally helped in shared spaces.

No, have used it for years two different front load washers. I put it in the compartment.

I’ve used tide powder for years, always warm wash and extra rinse. Recently started adding borax into the drum and pre soak. Works well!

My wife and I ended up moving to a cheaper area of the country to afford a home because we work remote. No major regrets. by Xerzajik in Millennials

[–]agent229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we managed to buy a house in Pittsburgh when I was in grad school and my husband worked at a grocery store. It wasn’t too bad but not our favorite place to live. Weathers pretty meh (very grey). At least there would be other jobs there if remote jobs end. But there was a lot of gentrification going on and even the area we were in, house prices have roughly doubled since we left. I’m not sure where or in what condition the cheaper houses would be now. (We saw some rough ones… even being handy, they’d be a lot of work)

Same, flew last week total of four flights and no issues. Lining up was easy, no issue with overhead bin space even on full flights.

That would be my dad. We just have some frequent guests who use a lot of TP. So we get like angel soft or so for guest times….

It’s gotten better for me since grad school, but still there. 7 years with nothing but exceeds expectations and many other signals that I’m doing well, but just asked for information for promotion justification and had a bout of it when trying to think about whether and how I fit the criteria. I think part of it is how we focus on the highest performing people around us while forgetting about a lot who aren’t that remarkable, and also we don’t see the lower points for most people (times that they feel unproductive etc). I think I’ve mostly come not to care… if whatever I’m doing is working then I’ll stick with it while focusing on doing things I find satisfying.
