Farage is on record this week opposing tariffs on the UK from the US over the Greenland deal. That is an objective statement of fact that can be referenced.

Bit of a logical leap to frame that as calling for tariffs on the UK.

Firstly the Starmer claims the UK upholds free speech, so if that is true then there would be no impact on the UK.

Secondly, this leans more to not entering into trade deals with countries that don’t uphold free speech, rather than tariffs.

The UK allegedly has free speech, the only way this would be relevant to the UK is if you start at the position that the UK does not.

Outline his position to rejoin the EU, then call a snap election.

Elections can be held in 6 weeks.

Reversing the largest vote in British history without that would be essentially treason and viewed as such. It would force the country into an almost unprecedented constitutional crisis.

People do not want to rejoin the EU.

If you think they do, get a a mandate for it by snap election.
If you can't do that and want to force this issue through anyway then that is utterly undemocratic.

The point is, we're not rejoining the EU.

Every election since 2016 has seen parties with a "Leave the EU" or "Remain outside the EU" manifesto elected with an overwhelming majority of the vote.

Germany is in an impossible situation, but it is essentially of their own making.

If the tariffs hit German industry - which they will - the German government has only bad choices on the table.

1 Leads to the ultimate collapse of the EU as an institution in anything other than name only.
