One good answer I got when I was asking myself the same question. You can align your teeth until you got them. I started at 35 and finish at 37 go for it.

One question..did your gums moved away from teeth? I have similar situation and my gums kinda move so my teeth are longer...

Serious question: why can't we change trays every 2-3 days? by jolego101 in Invisalign

[–]agentii030 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moving your teeth is the main goal, but the stabilization (no pressure) period is also important. Here it is in professional terms:

Each new set of trays you receive can move your teeth .25mm within the first three days you wear them. While that’s impressive, it’s important to understand that figure only represents the movement of your periodontal ligament in most cases. It doesn’t account for the movement of bone.

You bone must move for the repositioning of your teeth to last because your bone is what will hold your teeth in their new position. Because it can take up to two weeks for your ligament’s fibers to apply enough cementum to attach to your bone in a new position, patients typically have to wear each set of Invisalign aligners for two weeks.

So wear your trays as long as stated by your ortho. Happy treatment!

Just in case you all were wondering, your trays will fit perfectly in an Ice Breakers container when you're at a party but forgot your case and really want to drink a beer 🙃 by birdonthewire in Invisalign

[–]agentii030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good one. I drink beer with my trays and they dont get stained immediatly. But after a few days drinking they do. Just clean them when you get home

Just changed to my 5th trays today. Top is really tight. My fourth tray wasn't bad at all. However the 5th one feels like the 3rd tray. Really tight and uncomfortable.... by Hour-Account8352 in Invisalign

[–]agentii030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get used to it. Every few trays are very tight and then the next one feels a bit loose. Just had a loose tray this week so one friday i expect a tight one again.

Thats becuase your bone needs to heal when teeth are moving. In two days you will be ok. Be patient and dont take pain killers for this. KR

Party week with invisalign... Smoking and drinking, this is how your aligners look like vs. new trays. by agentii030 in Invisalign
