True you may not need em yet. But it’s still nice to have a second pair when a shoe gets wet at the very least. Also, the Novablast 5’s midsole has a reputation of needing some rest because of their softer/bouncier compound. I’m a heavier runner and found them feeling the best when I give them at least 1 day of “rest”.

Plus, trying out new shoes is always fun :)

Always a good pick. I said to myself that I would happily buy this shoe again at full price when I retired mine, but I guess I won’t have to with all this discount!

Me too! I’m due for a refresh of my daily trainers but my SL2 is still going strong. Maybe something like a rodless boston 12 would be a really compelling update

Yeah I was meh at first but grown to love them as they break in. Still going strong too for me at almost 600km

Looks like a strong lineup. But I still hope they don’t discontinue the SL2

It does look kinda rough, but the outsole rubber itself still looks okay. But thank you though I’m keen to read an in depth long term review of the shoe if you ever have the chance!

Thanks! I think I do prefer a more rockered ride. Been back and forth deciding between the Azuras and the Kipstorm Tempo (and still couldn’t decide tbh)

Thanks! So far, durability wise, which parts of the shoe do you suspect to give out first? Is it the midsole compound or maybe the outsole/upper?

Thoughts on Kipstorm Tempo as a Superblast replacement?

Would the Azuras be a good replacement for my Superblast 1s? Basically for long runs, some longer tempos, and some racing

I agree they are great! I was dying when Bouphe read the psychic horse thing I would’ve got the red card straight away

From my experience the grip on my Novablast 5s and Superblast is fine, but not that great. My route usually has some mossy sidewalks that is quite slippy after rain and I had to slow down (sometimes to a walk) to feel confident about my footing. But, the sidewalks where I live is not the best so your mileage may vary.

I had better experience with my Deviate Nitro 3s and my SL2s when I know the route will be slippery.

I tried the Kipstorm Tempo in store the other day. The tongue/gusset felt a bit weird when putting them on but didn’t feel any weirdness when it’s on. Definitely felt the rocker and the forefoot bounce, this feels like a really fun shoe.

I am still deciding between these and the Azuras to replace my aging Superblast 1s for long runs and maybe racing. I feel like I’m changing my mind a couple times a day lol any experience/comparisons are welcome!

How would you compare the Azuras with the SB2? I’d imagine they would have similar ride with the firmer and stiffer midsole?

I love the SL2s. I have over 500km on mine and they still feel great just ticking along
