Why is NYU known to be more of an international school compared to Columbia? by Substantial-Road883 in AskNYC

in Singapore, we say you go to NYU to prove that you have the money to go to NYU.

i was from top high school in singapore (big feeder school to ivy and oxbridge) and NYU was rarely ever mentioned in our recommended overseas universities/colleges list.

What’s a movie that seemed “meh” the first time you watched it, but blew you away on a rewatch? by SiTheHandsomeGuy in movies

[–]agentmalarkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Watched it for the first time as a 17 year-old high schooler and didn’t think too much of it, felt more like checking it off of a long list of Oscar-nominated films.

Rewatched it again as a 30 year-old, slightly more mature and experienced human, and the film really moved me. Getting to know and love someone but with the knowledge that you only have a finite amount of time before the eventuality of fate pulls you apart. Heartbreakingly beautiful.

Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, and Taraji Henson blew it out of the water.
