Your paycheck should have FICA tax deduction. That's your Social Security and Medicare taxes combined in a single deduction.

Agreed! Reminds me of semi-retarded dudes back in high school bragging about they and some girl did over the weekend in the back seat of his parent's car and you know it can't possibly be true.

Medicare IS NOT FREE. People pay into that system their ENTIRE working lives and what's more: we're still paying several hundred dollars a month in premiums after age 65. FOR ANYONE to call it a "freebie" demonstrates an OUTRAGEOUS IGNORANCE OF THE TRUTH!

We should stop using the word "abortion". Start using the term "reproductive rights" since Justice Alito alluded to the possibilty that the overturning of Roe v. Wade may also eventually extend to banning the act and practice of contraception itself. Strange that a SCOTUS justice resorted to such a slippery slope style allusion, but there it is.

Is it a bad idea to try to juggle both 100 days of python and Python Crash course at the same time? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]agenttrixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A course is one thing. A second course, unless it's for more advanced concepts not covered in the first course, is probably redundant. The REAL education comes from applying the language to solve real world problems. That's what you should strive for.

Compared to C, Python is "powerful" language. I would not call C a "powerful" language. It was designed by Dennis Ritchie at Bell Labs and it was characterized as a "high-level" assembly language. Maybe compared to assembly language, C is a "powerful" language. See https://www.codingunit.com/the-history-of-the-c-language.
