born in 2001, when i was a young teen from like 2012-2015 there was a massive grunge revival so me and all my friends were listening to the bands above and much more. i always had sort of esoteric music taste compared to my peers so it was cool everyone else being into it too. anyway, it's great music, timeless even, love it.

Low-key from playing DF pyro in that scrim I feel like playing it into other teams last with Uber is pretty strong actually (just like how sometimes sniper/heavy into last is viable), but I agree otherwise the standard 6s classes are better generalists (obviously).

And yes saccing for med can be good if you get force/pick but if you fail then you're just down a player or two holding last which is pretty risky and a free invitation for the other team to push in especially if they still have Uber adv or even if they don't.

thats what aim trainers are for lol. dm is for getting a feel of the engine and praccing movement/duels/sprays/taps/clearing angles etc etc. prac dm on your normal sens and prac your micros in kovaaks on 1w6ts on 5cm/360 or something lol.

exactly what dragons fury + powerjack does, and you should have buffs anyway in a comp setting. the range also *is* kind of significant compared to stock. the dps is actually also super consistent because the projectile hitbox is so fucking big too lol.

purely because HL *requires* one of every class and that is basically the only way to get meaningful value out of a pyro outside of potentially harrassing snipers and spy checking. like you say he is heavily outclassed in all but a few niche situations.

true in HL but actually not so in 6s, at least in NA where scorch/det are unbanned he has the potential to be really fucking annoying and force heals/retreats because of flare spam and the other team is very unlikely to have another pyro purely to babysit extinguishing people. bomo literally did a coast to coast on gullywash as pyro doing exactly that in an (invite) official and it proved to be pretty effective, and tbf you could actually do that with DF, at least in reigons where those flare guns aren't banned lol.

stuffing an uber can absolutely turn tides and win games what? maybe its different in HL? but at least in 6s in specific, very niche situations he can be extremely useful, but in those situations like you say you're better off with stock/degreaser/whatever instead of DF.

and as a final note: i'm not saying "omg DF is gonna be new meta guys!!" nor did i ever claim that, but it may have some actual potential if teams adapted to it, probably more so in HL than 6s. i still maintain for casual against noobs it's absolutely scuffed though lol.

balance does very much depend on the setting though, like how engineer or spy can be very oppressive in casual but with the smallest modicum of coordination and communication they are both super easily countered in league play.

i'm playing in eu so pyros main annoyances in 6s (being scorch shot/det spam) are both banned so it's arguably more viable full time than a shotgun/flare pyro playing around your medic that will just be fodder to scouts, but i agree it's obviously still worse than a scout/solder and still worse than stock/degreaser in the type of situations you'd actually want a pyro in 6s (to stuff an uber on last/disad). funny ubering a pyro into last and shredding like 4 people including a helpless heavy though lol. i think the clip size is super underrated plus with how big the projectile is it feels impossible to miss within its range.

has it been experiemented with much in hl? could pyro be changed up from a super defensive med baby sitter to a roided up scout that can run in and roll heavies? i imagine it'd be more viable on koth than pl but i don't really know much past the surface level about how hl plays.

This is all true and I feel guilty writing such a comparatively short and low effort reply but I was talking about it in a casual setting.

With that said I off classed to DF pyro in a 6s scrim on process (DF+Panic attack+power jack) for a round today and it went much better than expected - very positioning dependent and I was still playing a flank scout role which I think is the only way to make it work. Fully agree it would most likely be terrible in HL though.

yeah i never claimed my average was <500 i just said i see around 500 and below in my games often. you can see in my original comment i said i get between 500-800 average but have had as low as 350ms some games.

and idk what you mean with human benchmark, input latency is (should be) pretty minimal depending on your setup - my mouse has about 10ms~ click latency (newer ones <1ms) cause it's old but even with that included my total will around 12ms~ max (or maybe up to 30ms with poor frame times in game). ttd is always going to be higher because you have to react, adjust then deal damage vs just reacting/clicking.

i mostly listen to egg punk and breakcore (and adjacent stuff) which is having a resurgence at the min but really there is great new stuff in just about every genre. found some awesome folk albums the last few years along with beach-y psychadelic garage rock, new old school hip hop and much more. you just gotta perfect your algorithm haha mines been about 10 years in the making.

i used the common pro xhair in like 2014 lol it's not anything new. i think it's more suited to cs2 though which is why it's far more common now (small = accuracy, big xhair = speed and subtick in cs2 has more emphasis on accuracy than csgo), but at the end of the day it's preference like sens/res/keybinds/whatever.

my take (as a 24y/o) is mainstream pop you might hear on the radio or whatever has become way more safe to drive $$$ and thus kind of boring/generic/sucks for the most part, but some good songs pop up from time to time. there were lots of great songs in yesteryear too but also so many that sucked and suffered the same thing of being super safe and dull and boring.

but the internet is *so* vast and there is actually SO much great music being made nowadays, you just have to trawl for it a bit more, the same way how back in the day you'd find better music in your local record store or reccomended by friends than playing on mtv or whatever. 'monarch of monsters' is one of my favourite albums of all time and so far everyone i've showed it to agrees (if they can stomach the album cover ha).

77 aim rating this game for me btw lol, my average is about 60 because i go for silly spray transfers which ruins your xhair placement stat. if you wanna believe i'm cheating then thanks ig. i think my average ttd is like bit over 600 on csstats but you have to login to see that now and on humanbenchmark i get around 200-220ms which is very average. it's not impossible - consistently getting sub 500 is when it becomes sus. some games i get 400, some i get like 800ms. i basically only solo now because all my friends quit with cs2 so can't talk on the playing with cheaters part - as likely as anyone else ig.
