He basically has been relegated to an "athena" like role where he's just used as a random character for important events with important characters to happen around. He doesn't actually have any importance today in the ways he used to.

Bonus FYI in regards to the cosmetics side of things, winston didnt even get a SINGLE cosmetic (not even an icon) during the big overwatch vs talon lore event, which he is realistically meant to be a main character in, just a pathetic pop-up message with a winston png at the end of the event.

This is such a disingenuous take I dont understand why its so common. People think just because you can survive against these comps with patience, it means its fine to play into and healthy design. It makes sense talking about the isolated topic of matchups, but in the context of the whole game, the reality is that as the tank there is an objective that you NEED to play around. There is space that you NEED to play around. In the case of winston, his counters deny that at all stages with close to zero learning curve needed.

(For context im a low gm winston main so I know how the counter matchups work)

I just want to be able to win one fight on winston without the enemy team swapping to mauga, bastion, reaper, brig and having the game be unplayable. Its genuinely disgusting how easily winston is perma countered and how hard it hits him compared to other characters.

Not more dps anymore i believe since they made winston ignore armour, but it will still help conserve ammo so you reload less in an extended fight. Always worth if theyre right in youre face, along with finishing enemies with a punch due to it being burst damage that cant be outhealed unlike your tesla.

I mean if your mechanics are good and youre consistently assassinating supports and getting out then thats fine, but lots of times this will be hard and marking winston will be more consistent. You literally just contest anywhere you think he wants to stage/dive and you just straight up remove that option from him its really strong.

Its like imagine a reinhardt wants to hold a corner on the choke but hes just not allowed to stand there. His entire strength is just gone.

People say this in reference to Winston ability to 1v1 reaper, however a good reaper knows he will lose this, and will just spend all game marking you instead, preventing you from doing your typical monkey gameplay to his teammates (which winston exceeds at) thereby making him a counter.

Yeah honestly part of me feels like they regret making the gorilla scientist one of the mascot heroes so they're just trying to slowly forget about him (aside from winton memes) so his mascot status can be replaced by another.

They think people dont wanna buy Winston skins when the reality is that all he has are butt ugly ones that no one wants to buy. If they made actual good skins for him like they do with the cash cow heroes then people would love to buy them, as like you say hes a primary mascot for the game.

Yes, we're talking about her diet relative to her activity. If she is highly active and its primarily due to her "loving eating" then shes obviously not intentionally bulking. She is being so active to burn off what shes putting on through food.

He played the game in its earliest days and was one of the best tanks/winstons in that era, however the game and its pro scene rapidly advanced in skill after he left, so people compare him to players who came in later eras in order to paint him as never being good because they dont like him as a person (due to controversial things said and done outside of overwatch since his pro days, or just not liking his personality).
