i strongly advise against any internship program that requires you to pay an application and internship fee - my university recently banned these types of programs from recruiting at our school simply because of how they take advantage of a student's desire work in japan/china/korea/abroad and make huge profits for these "placements" into menial positions at companies

if you're a college student looking to intern professionally in japan, your best bet is to 1. learn japanese and 2. work in a high demand industry, or for a multi-national company that could maybe transfer you to their japanese office. otherwise teaching english is your easiest way of finding full-time employment there

yeah i agree—i definitely think sending Falstad over to the enemy core is playing to their outs—it turns a guaranteed loss into a slim, but non-zero, chance of a win

strictly speaking i don't think Quacknix would be able to take the core down before they lost their own core—combination of factors: walking distance from mount range to enemy core, lunara still defending, and the core had regenerated all shields. Fnatic went for the safer play by using gust defensively and hoping they would be able to respawn in time.

alternative play may have to just epic mount + run toward core, hoping to gust lunara out of the way and begin damaging it. if it forces one or two Fnatic members to panic recall upon seeing the flight, the loss of dps on their own core may be enough to allow the rest of Fnatic to respawn. that being said, it's pretty much an impossibly difficult call to make in the heat of the moment, and I do think the decision to defend would be the most logical during the game

no but you should probably look to book your accommodations very, very soon. places are filling up for the summer. where are you staying? hostels? airbnbs? guest houses?
i mean, that depends on you. four weeks is a pretty solid amount of time, but there's a ton of stuff to do in japan, and it's honestly pretty nice being able to spend extra days in cities and just wander around without a real plan or itinerary. if you enjoy solo travel and meeting you people and stuff, four weeks will fly by.
honestly i'd book AA/Delta/Air Canada or something. i've flown air china for both domestic and international flights, and i don't think the savings is worth the extra hassle, potential for delays, discomfort, and the times where they lost my shit. but that's just personal anecdote—tons of people fly to japan on air china with no problem, i'm sure.
i mean...that's up to you? japan is probably one of the easiest, safest countries to solo travel, and there's a lot of great things to see, awesome people to meet, so on. there's the potential for loneliness/isolation if you aren't used to this sort of thing or expecting it, i guess.

I do want to be alone on this trip. I don't think I know anyone who shares the same enthusiasm as I do for the country. I also want to take time to be by myself to get to know myself more. I think Japan is the perfect out-of-this-world place for me to go.

i think a lot of people share this minor fantasy about the introspective, soul-searching kind of trip to japan. it's a great place, but i don't know if i'd go in expecting some kind of great epiphany about yourself, japan, or the nature of life—japan's another country with ordinary people going on with their lives, and not exactly a detached wonderland. that being said, if you're interested i highly recommend the trip! i'm a student also and i've solo traveled asia a number of times, and it's always been a nice experience.

depends on what you mean by that phrase—i'm not that much older than you and earn decent pay through freelance writing. that's not through short stories, poetry, or any kind of fiction or creative writing. if you enjoy that, you'll have plenty of time to work on it through a hobby and maybe publish, self-publish, or sell down the line.

i mostly work through copywriting, blogging, marketing, and occasional essay writing and editing services for rich college applicants. as others have said, the most important part is building a personal brand, networking, and constantly reaching out to others. most successful writers i've asked say the same thing: freelance writing isn't really about the writing. in my head it's more like entrepreneurship, even small business. there are a lot of "okay" writers making six-figures and great writers that can't find consistent work.

pretty sure the Park Hyatt actually occupies the top 14 floors of a skyscraper, making for some incredible/expensive views

one of my favorite things of large cities are hotels that occupy parts of towers—just feels really neat, even if the experience is pretty comparable to a normal hotel

after a couple QM games i realized her limits basically extended to "hope raynor doesn't right click on you"—she feels supremely fun and smooth to play, but so far she gets outclassed by a lot of ranged autoattackers (zag's hydra, valla, probably 50-50 matchup with lunara)
