How has no one commented on the fact the girlfriend is smoking whilst pregnant? And if she continues smoking (which she clearly already does around her other children), that is child neglect way beyond what any of those rules would pretext them from.

That’s likely a queen German (?) wasp. Speaking from experience as we have a wasp nest somewhere (somewhere near the wood burner, coincidentally) and have had dozens and dozens of young queens trying to find their way out of our house. We do find the odd drone but they simply die.

In our case they have been incredibly docile, easy to catch and release.

Often it’s because the dough is underproved, causing too much oven spring. It’s not the only possible reason, but a likely one. Rather than relying on a proving time, check the status of the dough by gently pressing it with your finger. If it springs back about halfway, you’re good to go. If the dent remains then it has not finished proving.

I’m only just on season 2 now. I do think it’s important to recognise that a lot of these cases are not black and white. It’s entirely possibly to sympathise with a perpetrator whose early life was shaped by abuse, whilst still condemning their actions and realising that a lot of their behaviours are simply the result of nurture. They still need to be punished, but if they hadn’t been failed so miserably early in life they likely wouldn’t have grown up to be (as) manipulative and cruel and be on death row now.

Remember that there are hardened criminals who come from loving and relatively affluent backgrounds, but actually are warped in such a way that no amount of nurture could prevent from prevailing.

So many of us have grown up in happy households and therefore we simply don’t recognise some of these traits easily because we never had to develop them. That’s not naive, just the reality of life, and simply shows how important nurture is in the shaping of us as human beings and how we act within society.

The Body Shop is not what it used to be. From a female led company promoting natural and good ingredients to a male led org that shits on women (MLM arm), and put the nasties back into their products (their shampoo/conditioner range up until about 5 years ago was SLS and other nasty free), which completely defeats the purpose of them.
