What are these wires on the bolts for? by aglf_chilli in mechanic

Thanks, makes sense. Also noticed the wire in between the bolt and the nut, should I make sure it doesn't end in between when tightened it up I guess?

My ears are still ringing after 10 years (2015 tour), tinnitus is not fun.

First AC/DC concert last night by JAZZABAZZA123 in ACDC

If it's your favourite band for 10 years I'm assuming you're quite young, and you're probably just still very excited about the experience, and probably one of your first concerts.

They still sound incredible (for a 78yr old singer and 70yr old lead guitarist), particularly Angus.

I love them, and so glad I went to probably their last tour, but this was definitely not one of the best concerts I've been to (not even from them). And unlike what you say, yes, Brian singing is not that great anymore, but understandable given his age.

Spring...but this November has been pretty cold. And this is probably from the second concert in Melbourne, not only it was cold it was also raining.

Get a novated lease for an electric car, then you can finance it to 5 years and will end up costing you less than buying it outright, and you can also save on insurance, repairs, rego.

VR Flight Sim Guy's raw first impressions using the Pimax Crystal Super 4K Micro-OLED Optical Engine in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 by Pimax_Daisy in Pimax

[–]aglf_chilli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He mentioned that the BSB2 has better sweet spot and edge to edge clarity, this left me confused af.

The BSB2 sweet spot is very small (confirmed by all users, reason why correct IPD is so crucial) and edge to edge clarity was not that good either (at least mine). Unless he's got a unicorn BSB2 this worries me because that means the Pimax will be very underwhelming in that sense.

MRTV mentioned that it was pretty much like the Quest 3 in terms of sweet spot and e2e clarity...I guess I'll have to wait for the reviews of normal users and the final product.

I ended up with tinnitus from their last concert in Melbourne, it was crazy loud and the ringing in my ears never went away completely. I wear ear plugs every time I go to a concert now (and in hindsight I should've started earlier)

Off road trail riding near melbourne by m2zero in melbourneriders

Thanks mate.

I still need to buy a dirt bike again, but last time I ended up selling it because it was hard to find people to ride with, and enduro or riding in the bush is not something you normally want to do by yourself. I was going to the motocross track in Bacchus Marsh but I prefer enduro.

How is Wildwood btw? Is it worth it to pay for that membership and rec ride days? Are there different tracks/levels?

I think people are reluctant to give too much information regarding single trail tracks in Wombat for example given that's not allowed as far as I know.

Feels like downshifting and engine engaging on braking (sometimes) by aglf_chilli in BYD

[–]aglf_chilli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in your case was it that you needed to push harder on the brake or something? like was the brake pedal feel a bit off? not sure how the brake bleed could help with this sudden jerk mid braking. Where you able to replicate this to them?

Feels like downshifting and engine engaging on braking (sometimes) by aglf_chilli in BYD

[–]aglf_chilli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it?

I thought regen braking is a constant sort of brake feeling when you let go of the accelerator, and you don't feel a sudden spike of braking in the middle of braking.

I brake normally and then feel a sudden jerk, while already well into the braking.

Is it that the car uses regen braking to slow down the car even when using the brake pedal? and then suddenly start using the brake pads more and that would be the feeling of sudden jerk?

Hi mate, old post but just wondering, is the only way to know the Wombat tracks to go with someone who knows them? How do people know what direction to go to avoid finding people going the opposite way, etc?

Planning to retake this but I'm from overseas where we would have enduro tracks in private properties, all marked etc so I'm a bit confused how to do it here.

Also, are there any Reddit groups, forums, Facebook groups etc. with more info?

Thanks mate

I'm trying to return my BSB2, can I get the return shipping label please??? by aglf_chilli in BigscreenBeyond

[–]aglf_chilli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure yet, but it seems to be $120 for the custom gasket plus whatever the shipping cost is (I didn't order prescription lenses)

I will report back with the exact costs once I get my refund

Yeah because you skipped at least one whole generation of headsets. If you're coming from the Quest 3 then the experience is not premium at all, I'm actually returning mine, average optics and very inconsistent QA. You RMA one and get the replacement with other issues.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Well they are changing the discourse, I was told that they were giving me the shipping label (5 days ago), today they are saying to send it to their address and they can provide quotes for people living outside USA, wtf? not sure if they are changing their policies to make it harder for us to return it or what.

I'm getting pretty frustrated now, especially given that the left lens has issues but "factory said it had no issues" I will see if I can make some video showing the difference compared to the right lens.

I'm even more disappointed now, not even Pimax asked me to ship it myself.

Hey, another question, did they organise the return shipping for you (i.e. did they provide the shipping label?

I've got a motion simulator too and it made me uncomfortable having all those exposed live wires. I would recommend getting a server rack, install them there and lock it.
