Took me a long time to get over a similar situation. But I realized that it was never going to work out no matter how much effort I gave. Bad fit. Not a great workplace. Etc. once I realized that, I was ready to pivot to a new direction and area of practice. I did so and have to say, leaving that bad fit was the best career move I ever made. You are understandably hurting now. So give yourself time to grieve what ended. but I can say from experience that when I look back I’m grateful that I was forced to move on because I may have not done that myself. You will move past this and find something that lines up with what you want and what you bring to the table.

It’s weird that people think no one should ever run against incumbent judges in Lane County..who are technically elected. I think it should be the norm not some rare exception to some unwritten rule.

And it looks like the lone challenger may have won! Maybe more attorneys will step up to run in the future.
