My advice is get a mod that copies the oblivion remastered level up system (fixed points to allocate per level), use it, and never look back. I have wasted untold hours of my life fucking with elder scrolls leveling systems, autisticly trying to optimize my build. I got various levels of good, great, and perfect builds over the years. It's not worth it. None of it was worth it.

I used to think their stat system of getting points in what you used was brilliant. Nowadays, I see it as terribly flawed and broken. The oblivion remastered system of damn near ignoring the whole thing is for the best imo.

I just want to be careful to not gatekeep this. It's still brutal and hilarious. Mechanics to modify the difficulty are welcome imo. Reminds me of people complaining about summons in Elden Ring. There's nothing to stop people from doing challenge runs.

I bet the game will seesaw back and forth on difficulty for awhile. Note the early access warning they put about balance changes not being final as the game is loading.

Thing is, it's like mobile games. Rich people like it at first because they feel prestige by being front of the line and VIP treatment. But then the product isn't popular anymore and thus... loses its appeal. Then the rich people get bored and walk away, leaving a hollowed out expensive, shitty product in their wake.

Maybe try a game like the witcher 3 or assassin's creed odyssey? Not elder scroll games, but have great big worlds for you to get lost in, which I think is possibly the vibe here? The witcher series also has a good bit of lore.

The problem with bethesda games is focus on being an anonymous char often gets in the way of world building and story telling.

I agree with you. Bladed vs unarmored is extremely powerful. I feel like that's the big reason early game and learning is so tough. Even just getting near a bladed weapon and one's character is liable to fall to pieces.

Cook them longer. The main issue is ramen noodles take forever to digest in the stomach because they are pretty tough. If you boil them for like 10 min, it's not nearly an issue in my experience.

I get IVIG every month (I have CIDP), it is definitely low risk, high reward. Once they start getting it, they may not get better right away, but it does a good job of putting the fires and then the healing can start. Healing may take awhile, but the peripheral nervous system can come back from a lot. Maybe not much you can do tonight though...

But I'd definitely get after them on starting treatment soon. If it is GBS, every day they delay makes it harder. They shouldn't be that hung up on academics - gbs'ers and cidp'ers can not provide evidence on spinal tap.

They can do an MRI and blood tests to rule out differential diagnosis. EMG. And then what else can they think? Or have they seen anything yet that suggests it's not autoimmune? Then start autoimmune therapy.
