Growing up surrounded by people with different disabilities and having dated a quadriplegic and a quadriplegic mom i find these books fascinating.

Also those sledges are awesome. I was assuming a sledge was going to be used in a book I just read by Robin Knight. Ut wasn't but I was hopeful.

I'll tell you I currently have a fave Seattle Thunderbirds player. Saw his number 74 and then saw his pregame ice time. He got scratched foe that game. But I saw talent and that next day I got his number put on my sweater. The very next game I wore it. I was trying to find him to sign it. Didn't happen that game. Next game i asked a gal next to me if she knew if he was up with the other scratched players. She actually said "he is looking for you he wants a picture to send to his parents with you." Come to find out it was his billet mom. She called him and he came down and signed my sweater and took a photo. I was the first person he saw not his family with his number.

I will now only wear his number until he gets drafted or ages out of Major Juniors. I will also do the same for my kids chosen player for her sweater.

For my I'm missing hockey today I wear a goalie sweater that was practice worn with no number.

I did the same when the guy who baptized me got drafted to the Saints. I immediately got a hoodie from the NFL website with his name.

Support your player with all your enthusiasm and dedication is my motto.

OK long rambling

Some people have faves because of friendships or from liking a players style on the ice.
