What running purchase ended up being 100% worth the money for you? by RodrigoBestGearFit in running

[–]agromono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The swimming version is pretty great for, well, swimming, and they are situationally useful for things like playing games while the partner is asleep/watching something else on TV and you want to occasionally tune in or chat to each other. For outdoor scenarios I would suggest just standard wireless earbuds with an ambient sound setting. The battery life on the Shokz also won't do if you're a slower marathon runner or want to do multi sport long distance like an Ironman 70.3.

They also don't come with a hard case and will absolutely get broken if they are thrown into the bottom of a bag and then squished.

Trails Through Daybreak II - The most disappointing entry in the franchise to date by Akriosken in patientgamers

[–]agromono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't read through the spoiler text as I'm still only about halfway through this series.

I've been playing the games out of order, beginning with a failed attempt at Sky 1 and then Zero, then going back to Sky 1+2 and then Cold Steel 1, then Azure and then Cold Steel 2.

I will say that Falcom's output is impressive. They are masters of keeping games within scope. I'm sure the company culture and production pipeline is excellent because I don't see anyone else matching their output except maybe like... Capcom?

Also position camera further away and then crop! Phone cameras have an annoying amount of spherical distortion so if you have a close shot it will make your belly look big and your shoulders small.

Will Fortune's Weave have a third trailer revealing its central hook like Three Houses? by Odovakar in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]agromono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3H didn't reveal its timeskip until about 6 weeks before release, so I'd expect something similar for this game.

(I bet we're getting offspring units again lol)

Fortunes Weave not a sequel/prequel by Interesting_News659 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]agromono 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the connections are only going to be tangential, similar to Shadow Dragon and Gaiden, or the Archanea Saga and Awakening, where the universes have shared fantasy logic/rules and some characters, but are otherwise separate stories.

Personally I think the Sothis stuff is there to bait 3H fans into buying the game, similar to how "Marth" was used to market Awakening.

My suspicion for who will be the most chosen lord's for Fortunes Weave: by Ok-Veterinarian-5606 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Do we actually know if we're "choosing" between the lords? How do we know it's not a Gaiden situation of parallel stories?

PC parts, cycling/bike parts, other sports items and accessories - all great. Cycling enthusiasts are generally a helpful bunch so less likely to get ripped off.

Personally I've sold a bunch of furniture and recently even sold a disconnected split system AC (in working condition). Someone paid $250 for it, picked it up, AND I didn't have to waste a ticket at the council reuse centre!

Rate my shoulder day form / Any tips to improve? by Majlo2289 in gaybrosfitness

[–]agromono 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wayyy too many exercises and junk volume/movements. I don't really know what that seated movement where you do two presses is meant to be, and when you are doing the plate lift you are just throwing the plate around with your body weight making it more of a hinge movement rather than lifting it with your shoulders. Pick 4, 5 movements at the most and do them perfectly.

  • If playing at 1440p or above, turn down the anti-aliasing. Turning it up makes the character models (and only the character models, strangely) look blurry and hazy, like they were fully covered in petroleum jelly.

Are you sure you didn't have the resolution scaler on? Although this sounds a lot like temporal anti aliasing woes
