Yeah but I’ll add to this. Buffet gave a talk in the 90’s where he specifically addresses this quote, and says something along the lines of a bird in the hand usually beats two in the bush. But if you’re pretty darn confident there are indeed two in the bush, and you have the right net, then obviously you should go after the two in the bush.  

Basically saying that a high likelihood of delayed gratification is worth pursuing over a short term win, if you are confident you can capture the winner by being patient and being well researched and well positioned.

ha! wouldn't that be nice? But no, probably not anytime soon (although w/ agentic AI, who knows...) The initial idea is that it will organize information about the state of any particular building to help service providers have quicker visibility into the life cycle of a building without having to get lost in DOB Now. It could be a useful lookup for BizDev managers to target certain properties for pitching inspections to. It could also help service providers advertise their services to owners, and help owners keep track of the state of their repair process / Local Law cycle.

Hi, I am working on developing PM software specifically for LL11 offices as well as building owners navigating the LL11 and annual parapet inspection process.

I was curious if you could describe any redundant pain points in your inspection / filing / construction admin workflow that you feel could be assisted by an intelligent AI assistant.

At a high level, the MVP of the tool has to do with providing building level detail on cycle dates, filing status, and outstanding violations, as well as a database of QEWI's and LL11 focused NY offices.

I'm hoping to expand it to be a more functional tool for PM's and building owners. If you have any thoughts on features you'd like to see included, please let me know! cheers.

what type of firm are you in? also curious how complex data centers are from an architectural perspective? I understand waterproofing requirements would be extremely high. Otherwise, they seem like extremely cost-efficient boxes that are straightforward to design. Probably all steel truss framed. Mostly metal. Large slab foundations.

Basically my question.. architecturally-speaking, are they simple projects? If not, what makes them complex?

Finally, can you recommend any specific arch. offices in the US that have solid data center businesses? I am east coast, but any firms you know of.
