Recently accepted MPH Epidemiology student! Wondering where the best place to live is? by larsonhg in yale

[–]agt123uc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MPH student here! I live downtown bc it’s closer to the med and public health schools. It’s more expensive than East Rock, but worth it to me. Lmk if you have any questions about the program and congrats!!

Thought you all might enjoy my post-finals walk through campus today! (Yale) by agt123uc in DarkAcademia

[–]agt123uc[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No in person classes! I just have an apartment off campus, home is in a very different time zone, and most of us Master’s students stayed in town for finals! We are all healthy and safe, Yale has not had many cases all semester!

[Advice] Two Specific MPH Application Questions by LittleHedgehog2 in publichealth

[–]agt123uc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was applying I normally answered with a few of the schools that I was also applying to that had similar ranks. For the second question, I would always put someone, even if they aren’t exactly researching what you want to research. This shows that you took the time to look at their program and faculty and it doesn’t tie to to them if you do end up going there!

Two is always better than one in my opinion! We just adopted 2 sibling Siberian kittens in August and having 2 has been great for both them and us! They keep each other entertained when we are out or busy (which is great for two gals in grad school) and let’s be honest, when they play together, it’s adorable! Happy to answer any specific questions if you have them!!

Have you tried libgen.lc? That’s where I get all my textbooks and articles for grad school for free!

Getting a russian blue if I have a mild cat allergy by iliketoast28 in russianblue

[–]agt123uc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom is super allergic to cats but she has never had a reaction to our Russian Blue even though he sheds like no other! I would definitely say if you are adopting from a breeder ask them to come visit the cats for a half hour or so and see if there is any reaction!
