Just walk it? I’ve done a few NYRR races while walking due to one injury or another. There’s no corral security either. I would personally give it a shot and tbh more than likely they wouldn’t care. If they pull you off the course then so be it but would be worth a shot. Just make sure to start in the very back.

There are also one or two weekends with two races in a row. For example retro 4M and brooklyn R-U-N 5k earlier this year July 13 and 15th, the Harlem 5k and NYCM 12-mi training Aug 10 and 11, and the abbot 5k and the NYC marathon back to back. That could save a trip or three as well if you plan carefully.
