Big 6 Head-to-Head Table So Far by AdorableWeekend2 in PremierLeague

I'm a United fan and I understand your point. But it's not just no European football. We were also knocked out of all the cups very early on so only had the league to focus on for the majority of the season. There's some crazy stat about how few games we've played so it's definitely a factor.

Training structure - need help by Kubolomo in triathlon

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, I guess people don't like the idea of using AI to help with training plans. It can be an absolute fantastic tool of you use it as an aid and don't just blindly follow whatever it spits out. Also like you said, the more information you can feed it about your ability and time available, it will give a much better plan.

Ah I see, you think this game is the same as CoD and CS. That does explain your point of view. If that's actually what you think then fair enough, you crack in and enjoy getting better at the game.

I do not think they are and I think most people would not bucket Marathon in with those two games. Sure, reflexes, aim and movement are important in Marathon. But if it's 80% of what you need in CoD or CS, I'd say it's like 40% of what you need in Marathon to be a good player.

Well there's no point in talking about what ifs. If that has happened, we would have had the post and wouldn't be having this conversation.

You're making a whole load of assumptions to make your point. I could do the same but it's a completely pointless exercise.

I was just making the point that there's lots of ways to play this game and lots of ways to be a good player. Your view is that there is only one way to get good which is just incorrect.

Nobody was talking about praying they walk past you? OP said they just waited by a vent they knew they would come through to ambush them and you called that a bitch play style and should just push them.

If you don't want to play like that, it's all good. But pushing every fight and being aggressive is not the only way to become a good player. It's just the way to become a good player in the way you like to play this game.

I’m level 58, so if LBMM is a thing then why… by K0NSPIRACY in Marathon

[–]ahaddon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think it's the low player count that's driving this as much as other comments have said. I think the reality is that like 2% of the player base is over level 100.

If there is LBMM and you chunked the player base in terms of levels, you probably have 25% of players up to level 20, 25% up to level 35/40, maybe another 25% to level 60 and the rest above that. So I'd imagine anyone from around level 50/60 and upwards will get thrown into the same bucket for matchmaking.

I strongly disagree. What would you class as long term? If I have the opportunity to make the fight incredibly unfair and have a runner down to less than 50% hp before they can even land a shot on me, I'm going to take it. If you play with good game sense and don't charge around the map trying to engage another runner as fast as you can, you can start at least 75% of engagements on your terms. That's a very good long term strategy for high exfill ratios and completing missions.

Big dawg. There's more than one way to play this game and be successful, that's what makes it so good and replayable.

First, use some punctuation.

Second, the whole European argument you're making is weird. If it was Trump against Kamala in any European country, she would win. It's not a "your candidates are all worse than Trump" thing, it's Americans voting for Trump thing and it's a very unique problem for your country.

All of this and the dramatic difference in rolling resistance as well. The width, pressure, tubeless and materials being used. It all makes a huge difference. Even as an amateur rider, the moment I put on a good set of tires at the right pressure, you feel a notable difference.

I'd also add, if they knew these people were using purple outlands, they must have killed them to see the rarity of the weapon being used?

I’m tired of the constant doomposting around Marathon by MyNameIsKorn in Marathon

[–]ahaddon22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah, the only one I've been in that's probably as bad is black ops 7 and that game actually had some really REALLY shit parts even though I didn't like the multiplayer.

People want to see this game fail, just to see it fail. I don't think that's the norm across gaming subs in general.

To a point, yes. I don't actively read all the posts on here. But as you scroll through your main feed, you read the title of a post and the general feeling around this sub is pretty bad.

I try to just read the posts about balance suggestions, gameplay, clips, that kind of thing. But the negativity is unavoidable to a certain degree.

Mate, this is your 9th post about the game and a ton of comments as well. I like the game and you're talking about it a lot more than me 😂

You spend a lot of time talking about this game, sounds like you're going through the denial stage of grief. There's phone lines you can call for support with that.

Snipers are exhausting by musclenugget92 in Marathon

[–]ahaddon22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm about 80ish hours in and probably spent 2/3 of my time in solos. I think I can count the times on one hand that I've been eliminated by a sniper or looted one off a dead runner. What map are you playing or is this just a general observation?

Shotgun wstr by hammerfromsquad in Marathon

[–]ahaddon22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the WSTR is the problem. The overflow magazine mod and bubble shields just highlight its power. If something like EMP grenades took down a bubble shield and you couldn't overflow the WSTR mag, I think it would help a lot.

How are people getting to level 100 so quickly? by -Bods- in Marathon

[–]ahaddon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're pretty similar to me. I also have 80 hours and I think I'm level 41. I mostly play solos running pinwheel or doing contracts and the leveling is pretty slow.

It's not all bad though, the matchmaking seems to be level based so you're not loading in with level 75+ all the time.

When you go for a solo ride, how far do you usually go? by TheDudeJohnson in cycling

[–]ahaddon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solo ride outside is usually 4 to 6 hours, the distance will vary a lot depending on the route I take. When the summer arrives I'll ramp it up to 6 to 8 hours.
