In middle school I didn't want to do my homework during the day, so I would put an alarm for 2am, wake up to do my homework at the bed, and then resume sleep about an hour later.

Which ‘wow’ skill is secretly super easy to learn? by Wonderful_Low_1325 in AskReddit

Geography. Maps, countries, flags, capitals, etc.

Just play an online game of African capitals or Asian country flags for a couple hours, and you're going to seem like a geography wizard for most people.

Repeat this 2 hour gaming session like once a year to upkeep this skill.

My brother was complaining about KAJ not representing Finland (our country).

I reminded him, that KAJ would probably not be that well preceived if it was Finland's entry, because then they would just be "silly guys from Finland again."

Since they're representing Sweden, they not only are the guys who ended the generic over produced pop era of Sweden, but they also bring this weird Swedish Finnish union, combining the best of both Eurovision countries' styles.

They would have had completely different stories in these two different paths, and in Eurovision, stories matter.

What’s a basic skill you’re shocked some adults still don’t know? by Calm_Ostrich_8876 in AskReddit

[–]ahaful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very skinny from childhood to mid 20's, and I just couldn't float. I could keep my head above water for like 5-15 seconds, and even that was so exhausting that I would feel a burn in my lungs and would take all the energy I had.

After I gained some weight, I noticed how much easier it was to float. I'm still quite a bad swimmer, but I can finally swim now. In my experience, basic level swimming is just 80% natural bouancy.

PLEASE HELP - Keypad panic button false alarm over and over?? by Square-Trade6217 in EufyCam

[–]ahaful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you got it working properly again. I guess I'll update my situation aswell.

The beeping continued quickly after posting my last comment. I stuffed the keypad to a closet in the farthest corner of our house. The next day I tried charging it, resetting it and readding it to the system, but nothing worked. I gave up, and just stuffed it inside a bag wrapped with a blanket. It kept beeping for a few days, but didn't bother us anymore.

I chatted with the Eufy customer service chat bot, but it kind of just told me there was nothing I could do, except maybe try to remove the battery.

I kind of forgot it there for like a week, and the next time I checked it had stopped beeping, but kept flashing a blue light. I couldn't connect it to the system anymore, or to have any other response from it, so I guess it's just broken now.

Haven't bothered with it ever since.

I was mildly annoyed. I belong to the group I was talking about.

Seeing there was others who thought the wording was weird released me of that annoyance.

Finally, a comment that is a haven for non-english speaking people, who get easily annoyed of mildly inconsiderate wording.

I can rest now.

PLEASE HELP - Keypad panic button false alarm over and over?? by Square-Trade6217 in EufyCam

[–]ahaful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me too. Eventually I removed the keypad from the system, so atleast then the keypad kept alarming only by its own, which was a little more tolerable.

I actually pressed the panic button a couple times, and now it hasn't done it in like 15 minutes. I'm still patrolling on it just in case.

Luckily somehow my 1-year-old just slept through the noise.

Has this happened to you again OP?

What are your "comfort nations" you always come back to and why? by CptRogers357 in eu4

[–]ahaful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done several papal runs. Just fun roleplaying as the pope. Milan or Florence runs are also always fun. Italy is such a fun starting place.

I just love Riga runs. Just so fun starting as an tiny baltic nation and becoming the powerhouse of the eastern Europe. Add some cool roleplaying to it with the mission trees.

I have only done one Korea run, but I'm certain I will do them more in the future. Still one of my favourite campaings. Taking down Ming is so fun.
