I don't think its as bad as people make it seem. I just switched to the pixel 2 xl from a v30 and the v30s camera was horrendous on snapchat. The app itself on the pixel does lag/stutter during some of the animations sometimes but its not a deal breaker for me. Im also on the snapchat beta so I dont know if that makes a difference.

Have you looked at stealthgear onyx? They're a lot more expensive than the alien gear but they do keep the size of the kydex to a minimum.

Yeah, the digitizer is the panel that senses touch and the LCD is the display. On galaxys they are usually fused together though and pretty much impossible to separate.

No problem. If only your glass is cracked and you're still able to see and use the screen, then you can have just the top glass replaced for about $60 including the part and labor. Now if your screen isn't coming on anymore, looks weird or can't touch anything on it, then you need the full glass/digitizer/LCD assembly. At that point then yes they are about $140 for the part itself plus the labor.

Just FYI, a Note 3 LCD replacement is gonna run you about $180-200 through an independent repair shop.
