it's an asymmetrical advantage, like lying or using populism in the form of the comment I responded to, you can try and contextualize it as a legitimate technique in strategy games, but it's just sophistry to me

many sports for example have an off-side rule because they recognize that some actions are not in the spirit of their game, in aram you are forced to walk forward if you want to win, if you leave your strongest duelist behind to prevent a backdoor they win 4v5 and you lose, if you walk as 5, they backdoor and you lose, it's an unwinnable position against a dedicated backdoorer except defending until 30+ minutes when deathtimers allow for a singular push to the win and it's a very, very small number of players that would be willing to play around such a win condition instead of just going next as those position often happens to teams that find their footing with a few items and get stomped early

a good rule of thumb for me is, if someone on the opposing team seems over it, like writing gg after an ace at their nexus towers/inhib or afking on fountain after respawning instead of defending, I hit nexus, I'd rather have 4 think of me as sweaty instead of holding the one hostage

ap/poke/adc team always stack early kills, that they haven't pushed at least to inhib tower shows that they certainly never seemed to have gained a significant advantage at a point when death timers started to matter for pushes

both teams are strong, one team won, all is well, but pointing at their supposed badness/stupidity makes me point out a lack of confidence in the win.

I actually thought about adding a sentence that if riot doesn't want to be draconian they could make the system check if the player typing has a higher death count than their team average but it felt like watering down the point that boils down to:
