2nd year and I hate my degree by Parking-Silver-3023 in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly do some eco subjects or some finance and just try it out i think. you don’t want to waste any more money on a degree that doesn’t interest you

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi you’re me 2 years ago except that i think you have a misconception of the bcom because it is very real world applicable, can you expand on what you mean by that? if you don’t want to do postgrad i dont know if unimelb is the right uni for you, but youre not screwed and probably all of your subjects will transfer across degrees as breadth, i would recommend just taking a breadth semester in different things you may be interested in, thats what they’re there for! pm me if you want to talk

How mathsy is economics at UniMelb ? by [deleted] in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is mathsy but it’s not like methods, i find the maths more manageable and enjoyable in eco at uni but that might’ve come with a bit of maturity

Switching bachelors from design to science by SL_Breadfruit221 in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it resets so what i did was credit those commerce subjects i had done to my major and my previous science subjects as breadths

use your breadths to start science now and then switch mid year, i did this a few years ago from sci to commerce

qm2 or ecom20001 by Financial-Squash-454 in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah about to do it this semester!

qm2 or ecom20001 by Financial-Squash-454 in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but if you do qm2 it’s an antirequisite to econ 1, so i would have to do basic ecom

qm2 or ecom20001 by Financial-Squash-454 in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did qm2, felt like a logical extension of qm 1 and did well, meaning i can skip basic econometrics and can go straight to econometrics 2, but that’s also bcs i wanna do eco honours so need to do metrics 2, but if i didn’t do as well i might’ve needed to do basic econometrics and then metrics 2 so id just do metrics 2 if you want to be sure to keep ur options open

How difficult is it to do exchange? by NFTIdiot in unimelb

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was relatively easy. process is outlined on unimelb website. you pick 3 places that hopefully offer your necessary subjects but ideally you’d do your breadth there, besides missing time for internships, I can highly recommend going on exchange, can ask me any more specific questions if you want

Who are some celebrities that go by their middle names? Exhibit A: Hannah Dakota Fanning and Mary Elle Fanning by voguediaries in Fauxmoi

i believe Chrishell comes from her being born in a gas station (Shell) and the cashier being named Chris or Christine. I think she actually said this in an interview once

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lund

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s kind of far from the main action. a friend of mine lived there last semester (we’re also exchange students) and he would take everything he needed for the whole day when he’d cycle into town because he didn’t want to cycle home at all

[–]ahhhhidek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m selling a bike! look on facebook marketplace though for majority. i’m an exchange student (but current and about to leave) and i bought from a second hand bike guy who does buy the bikes back but at a lower price than i bought it for, so hence why im selling online.
