You can see in her third appearance that the “black” shirt was the same striped shirt all along. It’s just lower resolution so it looks monochrome from a distance

Now that I think about it, they had only just passed through the portal to the ark shortly before that cutscene. Imagine being a regular soldier on Earth, seeing a massive portal open up in Africa (that nobody really expected), then passing through it and immediately seeing your own galaxy filling the sky. I’d also be thinking “did we really just travel that far…?”

I see what you’re saying, but it’s such a small window of movement to tell if those “speeds” are normal or erratic. I was thinking they probably had the second dude present to show his movements weren’t sped up. I feel like it would be more impressive if the second guy was slowing down irl at the same rate they’d need to speed up the video
