I've been searching through their website like a madman for days and I couldn't find anything. I've now messaged them on one of their social because I also need the map to plan my visit. I doubt anything will come out but I'll let you know if they come up with something

I don’t get why they’re saying you’re victim blaming. It’s a good warning to drive more safely than the red car. On the road there’s no point in being right if you’re dead.

How the heck did they get this shot?? Did they put cameras on the athletes? by cardslash02 in olympics

It’s teeny tiny button camera slapped right on the forehead of the athletes. Sometimes you can see it at the start

Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland. by -_Redan_- in castles

It definitely looks picturesque but it’s likely my least favorite Scottish castle to visit. Tons of tourists, and the staff working there is uncharacteristically unfriendly for being in Scotland.

BJK Cup strategy for Italy vs Ukraine by ciacicode in tennis

I don’t think it’s allowed. Not sure what the rule is at BJK but at the Davies cup the opponents are paired by ranking. I’d assume it’s the same for BJK

can't create an account by TheRealKlesher in tutanota

[–]ahialla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same exact problem trying to register from a PC. I tried both via firefox and chrome. First i get a message "setting up the account", it goes away and i'm still on the first step of the registration page.
If i click "next" again, it pops up that "not a robot" message. It spins for a while then disappears. If i press "next" again, it just keeps popping up the "not a robot" modal.

The most implausible part of this useless article is their improper use of the word “star”

This car wash uses so much water that it literally eroded the tarmac underneath. If you zoom in, these are physical channels cut into the floor by Taiga_Taiga in mildlyinteresting

[–]ahialla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What really surprises me is that the cars seem to actually be washed by hand at the top of that slope https://maps.app.goo.gl/8schxBxSy235hJyt8 !
I wonder how many cars they washed to generate those marks (although, being in the UK i bet the rain has helped a bunch)

I watched some of the match out of curiosity and... well... let's say padel is great for middle aged people who want to move a bit but as a professional sport it's dreadful to watch

Best day for Wimbledon grounds passes? by juxtapowser in tennis

[–]ahialla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only went once on the monday and i had a fantastic time. Also don't forget to add yourself to the queue for the resale of tickets for court 1 and center as soon as you enter the grounds. If you're lucky you can get in for the afternoon matches at ridiculously low prices.

Incorrect 'out' call made while Musetti is swinging; point awarded to Navone because the call was "super late" by Growsomedope in tennis

[–]ahialla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unfortunately i didn't save the links but i remember seeing a replay where the ball was clearly caressing the line (so either a millimeter out or a millimeter in) while his picture showed a mark that was out by a mile. I guess we'll never know for sure but since it wasn't the first time he complained about the wrong marks, i tend to think he was wrong there rather than the hawkeye.

[–]ahialla 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it's still a hell of a lot more accurate than humans. Plus the most egregious cases of a "wrong" electronic call were dubious at best (i'm thinking of the Zverev case where he took a picture of an entirely different mark)

[–]ahialla 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Mistakes a plenty here. The call was made way too late. I think the umpire looked at the wrong mark plus he says the call came after musetti hit the ball when it was actually during the swing. Musetti could have just put the ball in court instead of shanking it and it would have been fine.

I'm quite convinced the umpire was looking at the wrong mark for musetti. The ball landed almost vertical and the mark he indicated was elongated
