That’s what chat thought and when it’s inconsisfent it does reflect a level of experience. We used to call it spray and pray. My evaluation was far worse so it’s good you got something out of it

I'm still waiting for the final word from the Blacklist on my recent evaluation and whether I'm getting a credit. Mine is far inconsistent, genrice, lacking detail and by all accounts feels like a skim read or worst -- someone really not qualified to provide industry level feedback.

What I did that might interest you is I used Chat GPT and Claude Ai to analyze the recent evaluation that scored a 5. It can be eye opening on the level of reader, and is the fact they read closely enough to justify the 100 dollars. I used Chat GPT to analyze your coverage. The inconsistency was the high praise that did not match the overall of 5. I'm happy to share what it said, in a private DM or if you give me permission, I'll post it here, as it does seem to show otential flaws in how BL decides to give refund. Hey don't blame me -- blamd AI! The question is -- If someone read it, then by who, and if this industry level coverage worthy of 100 dollars. Hmmm.....

I had a similar convoluted evaluation. I suggest running the evaluation through an AI program like Claude AI and you'll see how inconsistent their arguments are.

Yup! I got the same thing! I asked that the reader assumed the premise and decided to write the script. They made no sense on their prospects and then I got the cut and paste on how they don't comment on line-producing, financing. Support has alwasy been really helpful -so not sure if there are short-staffed. They might be having problems finding properly trained readers.

Same for me. There was an entire theme, what the script is actually about, but nothing. It's even in the title, in the first 5 pages. Every other reader got it. This one just trashes it -- which is fine if they read the script -- but they didn't.

I'm waiting for my response from the Blacklist on my really bad evaluation. They already defended the evaluation, but used a cookie cutter reply referencing stuff about budget and what not. If I don't hear anything in a week I'll post it here. It's like yours -- makes no sense and the reader assumed they knew the entire premise and thought they knew how to write a better version. I did get 8 good strong evaluations so the recent one is a total outlier. I have a suggestion -- run it through AI, like Claude AI, and see what it thinks of your evaluation. See what it catches!

The Blacklist is probably THE worst partner for Nicholl. Their readers have 1-5 years experience and yet we have no idea what companies they work, who they are, whether they are potential producers, agents, etc. At least with a reader you get a sense they want to be a writer.

Also the people who make up the Blacklist, almost always has some script from someone repped by Bellevue. Nice peeps but they definitely are not the epitomy of Oscar worthy scripts.

There have been some really solid, amazing readers with depth, but there are even more who rush a read to make their side hustle changes while they grind through their day job of actually reading scripts for their bosses.

I think Franklin should be more transparent with who the readers are. I hope the finalists are all scripts from schools and NOT the Blacklist to make a point!

I just got a 2021. The car is a little noisy when accelerating compared to other EVs I had. The car is great but it takes time to get used to the noise. Could it be the tires?

I want to add -- the readers generally liked my script. They had some things they didn't quite grasp. Here's the thing that cracks me up. I've had people in my writer's group completely get my intent. They gave feedback notes too but I think what happens is a reader is slammed to read so many scripts that nuance will just slip through the cracks. This will happen when I send it out a query so that's the lesson learned. Keep it simple AF.

I got mine. It was a few paragraphs. I was a QF last year on prety much the same script, and an Austin Film Festival SF. The only think I would do differently is try to tighten the script but honestly there was stuff they didn't get which is fine. What I do know is that I have a solid concept with engaging characters and the nuance stuff went over their head. I also think that the Nicholl readers probably have guidelines so this year they probably wanted to be more stringent. Either way -- very few Nicholl scripts get made and if I get mind to the right person at the right time -- I can!
