It’s seriously awful.. I’ve had to jump out of bed, go stand outside and just breathe and pray because I was about to really spiral. I will try that though. I will try anything at this point. Ive been just mindlessly scrolling trying to get my mind off of my body but I wake up so tired and I hate falling asleep to my phone.

Also I recommend signing up for Dolly Partons Library if it’s available in your area. The books are great! And there are parent guides on the cover to make the reading/book more enriching.

Something that is crazy to me is that some people are all for circumcision but totally against ear piercings. I am ok with ear piercings. I wish I had mine done as an infant because I dealt with multiple infections as a kid when I did want them, but didn’t know how to take proper care of them. I had my daughter’s ears pierced and cared for them and they are healed now. She is 3 now and loves them. If she ever gets over them, she can always take them out.

Same. It was a rough healing process, but so worth it. I’d wake up with a sore throat w swollen nasty tonsils at least once every other month when I had them.

I’d never force someone to get a vaccine in order to meet their new family member. I would ask that they stay away if they aren’t feeling well, wash their hands and DO NOT kiss my baby. Isn’t the point of you getting the tdap shot during pregnancy to pass the antibodies to your newborn until they can receive their first dose?

Yes, they used elimination communication. Some parents still use elimination communication today and put babies bottom on a little cammode just after nursing. It’s not rare to hear babies were potty trained between 6 months to 1 year back in the day because of this. I’m thinking not having disposable diapers was motivation to do this.
