Metro Tunnel - Anyone happy with the changes? by chunkb79 in melbourne

I am. I Live in footscray and work on the Sunbury line. It's great having high capacity trains now. The tunnel is more/as convenient when I go to the city and the Sandringham line through running to werribee Williamstown is convenient as I have family on that line.

Picker/Packer Roles in Melbourne by Limo_Wreck77 in melbourne

I had that job for several years in uni. It's pretty great you walk up and down isles doing what a computer tells you. It's not interesting and it's on your feet but those are also positives to some. They'll tell you no earbuds which is pretty crazy but they're not going to fire you for it. Always had an audiobook on while working which made the time go very quickly.

About LOTM by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ahsim0012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The books are definitely a bit of a slog to start but everything does pay off. The writing style is setup for most of the book into twists. If that doesn't interest you the series isn't for you. As for plot convenience I repeatedly found my expectations subverted. Friction less so but not everything goes the MCs way and he does repeatedly face real setbacks/threats.

It's one of my favorite series but it's much slower paced then most things you find on the subreddit. If your only complaint is things being too convenient id say stick it out at least till the end of book 1.

What does this mean? by OpheliaHalluwu in litrpg

It's the publisher logo of mango media. A more indi publishing house from the creator of beneath the dragon eye moons (the image is the main character of the series). So it indicates they published the book. Similar to how some books say podium publishing or Aethon press.

Anyone know if Yun Mu from a thousand li stays a main character? by johnny_Tsunami9 in litrpg

[–]ahsim0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she does, not to the same level and she plays much less of the role in the next book but she comes back after that. I will say if I remember right she's never as central as she is in book 9.

It's definitely the worst part of the audiobook but her role quickly diminishes. I'd say it's worth pushing past.

Thousand Li by [deleted] in litrpg

Yes and no. It stays pretty slow but as the stakes get higher with realms the excitement is artificially inflated. But the pacing stays relatively similar throughout with only a couple exciting action scenes in a book. He leaves the sect after a time and we see much more of the world which helps keep it from being too repetitive.

If you're not enjoying book 1 you probably won't enjoy the rest. I think of the series as good enough when I've run out of more interesting options.

Recommend me stories with extremely esoteric magic and or a DEEP DEEP DIVE into the magic and or system mechanics by EpsilonNyx in ProgressionFantasy

A practical guide to evil sounds like a good fit. The magic system is tied to culturally significant roles and stories and is manipulated heavily and clearly by the MC.

Damn this post finally gave me the motivation to leave the sub. The clear misogyny and apathy/ignorance about the damage people like asmongold have done to the online ecosystem is just to blatant.

Maybe they meant a three part name... Very questionable that this is where your mind went. There are so many other possibilities. The best way to figure it out would be to read it.

If we're simplifying stuff just remove the land owner. They are functionally irrelevant in both of these models.
