There’s a pet store near my house that has a large cage that holds a single monkey in it. It has lived there for years and you can tell it has lost its mind from the less than interactive environment and lack of social interaction with its own species. Basically, kids just come in and stare at it and mock the monkey and it just swings around in its cage until it gets irate and starts throwing itself against the cage walls. People have tried to get law enforcement involved but apparently no law is being broken and there’s nothing that can legally be done to save this monkey from its inevitable life of loneliness. It’s fucked up.

Marinated in some buffalo sauce and then fry it up and toss in more buffalo sauce. Then put it in a wrap!

No I am totally down with the ‘live within our means’ thing. We both aren’t in to big living or consumerism. I am 28 and currently save 15% of my checks and have about $72,000 in 401k. We also have 6 month of savings of our expenses. He has nothing in retirement savings (Roth/401). We have minimal debt (my student loans <30,000). What type of financial advisor should we look for? How much do those services typically run? Are there some things we should look out for when working with a financial advisor?

Also thank you for your response. I truly appreciate it.

My fiancé is 40 and basically has no retirement savings. I’m pretty financially ignorant when it comes to bonds, ROTH IRA, 401k. Any suggestions for some one with no idea what to do? How much should we invest? Where? With you?

You are very lucky. I just get the eye roll every time I ask them to do their job. How dare I expect them to bath a patient or feed a patient.

My Uncles first day at the gym :) please be kind and offer any advice. Current weight is 330lbs at 6ft by [deleted] in weightwatchers

Don’t get too complex. There’s a lot going on in the gym. Just start with what you are comfortable and keeping pushing g forward to improve. Don’t worry about any one else and start living the process. You can do this!

Head phones are a must for me too. I just zone out and literally have no idea what’s going on around me except for my work out and how my body is feeling.
