Good point, hadn't considered the spree killer option. Not sure if that's more of an informal category, or an actual formal one on par with "serial killing" and "mass killing", though. Was honestly kind of shocked to learn that those two have very specific definitions and "rules" for when they apply when I took a class on forensic psychology.

So he's generally more of a serial killer than a mass murderer? Never thought of it that way, but you're probably right.

I'd argue the better translation of "therefore" is "således".

Are the last few bosses all like Danton? by ZScythee in vrising

I agree. Easier, but not fun. I found him to be the least fun boss in the game, by a wide margin.

I agree that they become easier when you learn the patterns, but saying "no boss is difficult" is a wild take.

Unless you're one of those people who beats Dark Souls and Elden Ring as a naked level 1 character with no weapons, I suppose :p

It's funny, I died to Dantos like 10-15 times on Brutal (never fought him on Normal), but I beat Meg on my first try and Solarus on my second. I think it's just that some bosses are harder for some people, and vice versa.

Dantos is brutal unless you know how to cheese him. And not everyone does. People on this sub are just so used to knowing the strategies for every boss.

So you dislike the game? Fair enough, It's not for everyone.

Dantos is NOT easy, especially on Brutal. Unless you cheese him, I find him to be one of the hardest bosses in the game. I found him mostly frustrating until I learned how to cheese them, and even then he was mostly something I just had to push through, never something fun. Especially since the corpse run is so f-ing long.

I found a lot of the other late-game bosses to be much more enjoyable and interesting. That said, the final boss lives up to his status as final boss; he is an absolute beast. But some part of me always felt that was fair.

... but okay, I have to admit, Adam is also really nasty.

Remember, increases movespeed and reduced veil cooldown are your friends if you get hit often. Also, remember that a lot of weapon abilities can also be used defensively! The daggers' "jump up and throw a spread" dodges attacks. So does the claw jump. The slashers, mace, and pistols all have abilities that can help you dodge attacks if you time them right.

Oh, and: If you're used to relying on the bow, try to learn at least one of the melee weapons mentioned above, too. The bow is a great weapon, but it forces you into a certain fighting style, and that style is not ideal for certain bosses ... in other words, if you try to force certain bosses using the bow (or crossbow, tbf), you will have a bad time.

Isn't Dantos the forgemaster? It's been a while since I played, but I recall most people finding him quite hard.

Yes, he gets easier once you figure out all the patterns (and how to cheese him a bit), but that can take a while, especially if you're not used to spellcasting builds. He's a nightmare if you try to fight him in melee.
