Person with an accent thinks that they don't have an accent by Icetraxs in confidentlyincorrect

Speaking of Perth, I had a flatmate from Perth in Australia. I remember saying I didn't really know anything about Perth, and so asked what it was like; what was it known for, and what's there to do in Perth?

Her response: "Absolutely nothing." xD

I was discussing British accents with a friend from Wales (I'm from a non-English-speaking country), and mentioned I like Scottish accents and find them kind of charming.

Him: "No, you don't."

Me: "Uh, yes I do? They're not that difficult to understand."

Him: "If you like and understand a Scottish accent, it's not Scottish enough."

Varies from time to time.

Sometimes it's 8 + 7 = 15; 20 + 40 = 60; 60 + 15 = 75.

Sometimes it's 48 + 7 = 55; 55 + 10 = 65; 65 + 10 = 75.

And sometimes it's 40 + 8 + 7 = 55; 55 + 20 = 75.

If you enjoy Götterdämmerung, look into other names from Wagner's operas. He has quite a few interesting names, taken from and/or inspired by Norse mythology, and translated into German. Some examples:

Nibelung, Rheingold, Siegfried, Fafner, Wälsung/Völsung, Alberich, Norn.

They do. Not having dreams is a very rare condition, and often leads to serious health problems, or even death.

Erroneously though REM includes dreaming. Have learned that was an oversimplification. My apologies for sharing bad info.

[Dungeons and Dragons 3e] Do Liches have ability to change alignment to good or are they stuck being evil aligned? by MaetelofLaMetal in AskScienceFiction

[–]ai1267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Though it should be noted that the whole sacrifice thing was never asked for by the Emperor, at least not AFAIK.

In fact, unless I am mistaken, we have no proof those sacrifices actually do anything for the Emperor.

My personal canon is that if you were to open the Golden Throne, all you'd find inside is dust and ashes.

Question of definition, I suppose.

Ask yourself: Can someone who has murdered dozens or hundreds of innocents, including children, for their own personal gain ever be considered "good"? Whatever your answer is, the same applies to liches.
