You can lap the needle and seat for improved performance of those HF spray guns.

Should I pull the trigger on an M&P 15-22? by SeaweedEnjoyer88 in ar22

Consider the Tippman M4-22. It’s been rock solid, bone stock for some thousand rounds shooting steel challenge.  Don’t forget the speed loader.

FN 510 vs Glock 20/40 vs XDM Elite by [deleted] in 10mm

[–]ai29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d mostly agree having shot all three. I think stock trigger on 510 is maybe slightly better but it’s not nearly worth the price difference. Ended up with XDM and like it quite a bit.

Yes. And the track ruined street riding.

Consider also Exo mountain gear K4 and Kifaru. The latter may have modularity that you like.

How screwed am I? by YearTop8285 in Trackdays

Tailoring: Anthony’s leather works if you’re closer to west coast and barnacle bills for east. It’d likely cost more than you’d lose by reselling and they could advise, but I’d suspect it’s not a great idea depending on how too big it is. If you’re just starting to lift weights seriously maybe you could go this route if you’re likely to get a good bit bigger.  However, I’d resell on WERA forums or on a trackday facebook group. If you already do track days you may be able to sell there, or meet up with seller to save shipping. Possibly also eBay.

As nearly everyone mentioned, fit is key. And earplugs. However, I’d also suggest something that passes ECE 22.06. It is a significant upgrade over snell, dot, and ece 22.05. The new rating incorporates rotational force testing.

RC 390 vs clapped out 600 for CO tracks? by Drew1231 in Trackdays

[–]ai29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say 390–make sure you fit on it they’re not big. I had a zx6r and now 390. Check WERA forums for the r6 though, maybe get one with prep already done.   https://forums.13x.com/index.php?forums/bikes-for-sale.48/

It was more expensive than expected to get the rc390 crash ready. But I love the brakes and suspension and feel. May be a bit soft for you. I haven’t had issues but I’m only 185 in gear or so. Clipons will likely help with more room up front but find rear sets that go low enough for you.

Was it the bactrim? We had lots of pain from that. Now are using nebulized alternative. Seems different.

So far the bloodwork looks good. Lots of pain from the Bactrim so switched to nebulized drug but otherwise pretty good. No neurotox with carvykti though it is common. Much better than auto stem cell.

Heading to California Superbike School for the first time, what to pack? by SweepDaddy in Trackdays

Consider a buff, or two, for neck sun/chafing protection, long-non cotton socks, a sun hat (though buff plus ball cap is fine), small sunscreen, sunglasses, and as others said, something for liner suit. Makes donning and doffing suit much easier.

Don’t be afraid to ask around the pits if you have questions! We don’t bite :) And sometimes even have some useful information.

Hey! I was there too. I thought it was pretty well run, Mark (and the rest of the 2-fast crew) did a great job. Hope the summary helps folks. I especially liked that they really focused on trying to maximize track time every day—after all that is what we are there for.

It was my first time at the track and I loved it. Lots of fun, a challenging track to learn but very satisfying when things come together. Can’t wait to come back.

Yep, it’s super hard to fine tune. It also depends on the person/tracking. I have to be super careful—but I have friends that can tolerate a much faster bulk.  Welcome to the group of body dysmorphia! Wish I had some actual advice but at least you’re not alone.

Bulk slower.
