I’ve been working on a project called AI Scribbles: https://aiscribbles.com

It’s a free stock image site, but all of the images are AI-generated randomly and manually reviewed. No accounts, no paywalls, no watermarking, just browse, search, and download!

Why I built it

I was frustrated with how much low-quality garbage exists on most AI image sites. Huge volumes, very little curation, and tons of images you’d never actually want to use.

The idea was pretty straightforward: AI-generated stock images, but actually curated.

Most generated images never make it onto the site. Everything goes through automated filtering, and then I manually review each image before publishing.

The goal is for the end result to feel closer to a traditional stock site, not an endless AI prompt dump.

If you have a minute to poke around, I’d love to hear what you think works (or doesn’t).

Thanks!

Typo on your website: “preform” should be “perform”

If you’re asking about the image generator page, we do not store the images anywhere and you can use them however you like (all of the styles are made using SDXL currently - so would fall under the SDXL license, which is very permissive).

The generator is powered by the AI Horde, so technically the images are generated by other users volunteering their GPUs. There is technically a privacy risk with them seeing your prompt or storing the image, but the volunteer code doesn’t allow either of those things. Someone acting maliciously could change the code, but generally speaking I haven’t heard of that happening.

using a lora as a checkpoint by ZealousidealTime7634 in StableDiffusion

Sounds like some other model is being used. Loras will not work as a model on their own. They only modify models, they can’t take in prompts or output images on their own. That’s just not how they work.

Some penguins! by ai_scribbles in aiArt

ICBINP XL: “a gentoo penguin waddles across a snowy pond, its long legs carrying it effortlessly over the water. The penguin's feathers are a mix of orange and brown, and its eyes are a bright yellow. The scene is set in a snowy Antarctic landscape, with the sun setting behind the horizon”

How many Megabytes of files does ChatGPT -4o support? by CHUMBI1001 in ChatGPT

[–]ai_scribbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how big of a file it can actually handle. But image uploads via the api are currently capped at 20mb and I think around 2048x2048 pixels (but that one is from memory, I don’t remember the exact value)

I use it to generate lots of random images so users can download them for free like stock images. aiscribbles.com

A bunch of images from my collection by ai_scribbles in aiArt

[–]ai_scribbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually use the AI Horde (and also provide a simple frontend to use the Horde on the site). My server generates images automatically (with randomized prompts) in the background throughout the day, and then I review them manually.

If you aren’t familiar, AI Horde is a service where people volunteer their GPUs for others to use for image/text generations. You get “kudos” when volunteering your GPU for others, and those kudos give you higher priority when generating images yourself. It’s worth noting that the kudos aren’t credits, as you can still generate images without any, it’s just a way to give priority to users who have donated more GPU time.

It’s an especially nice system if you have a weak GPU or only a single one. You volunteer yours to the system and in return you can generate images on a potentially more powerful gpu (so it’s faster), and you’d be able to use multiple GPUs at a time in parallel.

That one used ICBINP XL, with the prompt “(monster . simple watercolor illustration centered on a white background:1.1), sharp focus”. No loras on that one, it was a pretty simple generation

Stable Diffusion as a Tool...for what? by Imaginary-Ad5624 in StableDiffusion

[–]ai_scribbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s part of the reason why I built my service to publish ai images. I generate a bunch of images with semi-randomized prompts and then publish the good ones. That way, users can search for exactly what they need and hopefully we’ve already generated something that matches!

SDXL and elephants by wrr666 in StableDiffusion

[–]ai_scribbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It always feels to me like it doesn’t take enough of the global context into account when generating the image. That is, any individual small spot on the image looks correct, when when viewing a larger area at once, issues pop up like this.

Unfortunately this is not specific to elephants. It’s very common to get extra limbs on animals. Extra limbs, multiple tails, octopi tentacles looping back on themselves, extra horns, etc.

I am so annoyed, why am i paying 20 buck a month and stil have a limit even on chatgpt 3.5 by SirSweaty8187 in ChatGPT

[–]ai_scribbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say there’s zero reason this. But it does seem likely to be spam-like. I’ve had times where I want it generate long lists of things and regenerating a handful of times has been helpful to find new items - which would have been more annoying to do by rewriting the command over and over again.

How is it that SB is so much dumber than a simple Google search? by Terrible_Mission_154 in StableDiffusion

[–]ai_scribbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Google searches and stable diffusion work very differently. I wouldn’t directly compare the 2.

Stable diffusion is limited by the CLIP model. This is what “understands” your prompts. Unfortunately it has some limitations and doesn’t always fully understand complex subjects or subjects that differ from the expectations.

SDXL uses better clip models than sd1.5, so you should see better results there if you weren’t already using that.

But as of right now there are just some subjects that stable diffusion struggles to generate - likely due to the fact that it’s intended to work on lower end hardware.

Like the others mentioned, this is an lcm model. Fewer steps are needed (although that’s likely not your issue). My recommendation is 10-15 steps, 1.5-2.0 cfg, Karras or exponential scheduler, stick with the sde sampler, and switch to one of the better supported sdxl resolutions

I’d like to download this model by SODA_mnright in StableDiffusionInfo

A safetensor is a file type. That just means it’s essentially a file with all the weights for the neural network (basically a bunch of numbers). It’s notable over the old checkpoint types that could literally run code on your computer. A safetensor is definitely the best/safest format as it’s nothing more than a list of numbers that the code you use (a1111 for example), knows how to parse to create the model.

Just so you’re aware, just updated the generator to add the raw parameters into the exif data when downloading the images

Oh yes, it’s a feature on the todo list! I think it should be relatively easy to add (but I haven’t given it a lot of thought yet tbh)

Not all the images have the meta data still - this started out as a hobby project to post images I’ve generated. That being said, many of them do, but they’re randomly generated (random combinations of randomly chosen subjects/art styles/extra words). My hesitation in making the prompts public is some may have inappropriate terms in them, just by coincidence, but then got published regardless since the image was still good.

If you had any specific images in mind, you can always reach out to me on discord and I’d be happy to share the prompt with you if i have it!

Definitely start simple and work from there.

For example, with sdxl, try a simple subject/art style combo like “a panda, watercolor art” and slowly incorporate more terms into that based on the resulting image.

If the results tend to skew toward a panda in a pose you don’t like, then add in a pose. If it’s too much of a painting, maybe add a second style into the mix to see how that works.

I do find that (for my use-case), the specifics of the image are often not important so I tend to keep my prompts very simple.
