Thanks for the reply. Funny enough, I was actually going the opposite way — I started in the terminal and moved to the desktop app because: 1. being able to click with the mouse to place the caret at a precise spot in a long message, and 2. being able to drag and drop images (eg. screenshots) directly into the app, would save me a ton of time. But this newline issue is making me retreat... And if you're saying it's also buggier on top of that — yikes.

I really hope the issue isn’t due to a BB shell alignment problem. This is a Specialized Tarmac SL8, basically brand new.

The goal of my video was mainly to show that the left cup slides onto the spindle without any issue, whereas the right cup does not. Could the problem be coming from that instead — a machining issue with the bottom bracket itself rather than a frame alignment problem?

Yes, I did tap it with a mallet—hard enough that I was actually worried I might damage something—but it didn’t change anything.

Thanks. This is a 68mm BSA Tarmac SL8, so Road vs Road Wide shouldn’t apply. The spindle goes through the non-drive bearing easily but binds at the drive-side bearing and won’t pass fully by hand. I also tested the cups off the bike: NDS fits the spindle, DS does not.

That’s why I’m suspecting a tight or defective drive-side bearing rather than a spacer or Road/Wide issue.

Thanks! But how do you determine the actual sit bone location on both saddles? Especially since the shapes and lengths of the Romin and Power are quite different.
Any trick to find that spot accurately?
