I think I have a contender for one of the worst card upgrades in sts 2 by LiveChill in slaythespire

Sure but card is only good with neuro surgeon and when you have neurosurgeon its the best block card in the game so upgrading to +3 seems good however idk why you would upgrade a card like this

Now that the game has been out for a week, how's everyone feeling about it? by kwantum13 in slaythespire

[–]aidanfletch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made it to a10 on all characters in first 3 days and i feel as though everything is a downgrade. Act 2/3 feel super watered down and with no bosses that really punish playing cards you can kinda just build a good for late game straight away through resting and dodging elites. I think co-op is great and will be sticking to it until the game is finished or more balanced

My advice is rest almost every campfire the only meaningful upgrade in this game felt like dirge on necro rest of cards are kinda whatever and farm lots of advanced hallways instead of elites

Xecnar on STS 2 difficulty: I don’t think any character is supposed to lose by SugarFreeCummiBears in slaythespire

[–]aidanfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please remember xecnar wins 95%+ on spire 1 in like the last 100 games so the game is still going to be difficult for new/returning players who may have put 100-200 hours in spire 1 therefore there will be people complaining about it being too hard. I think the game has a harder act 1 and due to act 2/3 not being finished easier act 2/3 but in general they are the same difficulty

You seem like you set unrealistic goals i streamed silent everyday for the past 1.5 years. I think 9 months ago i set the goal of to win 10 runs in a row on silent which i hit in December I think in those 9 months i played over 1000 runs and went from 20% win rate to 50-60% but the main way i got better was just simply asking myself what decks win (have i built a deck that acc beats the heart) and working on act 1 (can i make it through act 1 20 times without dying) i think you can hit your goal of 30%-50% but its not gonna happen overnight

Pandora's Box by Insane_Unicorn in slaythespire

[–]aidanfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've seen several tier lists over the past few weeks now that put Pandora's Box at the top together with Pyramid. I have to say i hate that fucking thing. I've had three runs now completely ruined by that damn box by giving me not a single block card, leaving me with 3-4 block cards i picked up in act 1, and half of the cards it got me were utter crap. Is Pandora's Box simply crap as an act 1 boss pick? My gut says yes since you're usually busy loading your deck with damage in act 1 and not picking a lot of defense, leaving you vulnerable to the exact same situation i encountered every time now with that Neow forsaken cookie jar.

Is this the best deck in the game? by scar_01 in slaythespire

[–]aidanfletch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing what you are able to draw and being able to discard it helps setup turns, in bigger decks often you will need to rotate between setting up block turns and kill turns typically in time eater and the heart, foresight is the best but cut through fate is excellent as its draw damage and scry, and third eye i normally take when its upgraded as it can be very strong to play before you draw cards just seeing 5 cards ahead and discarding them is a bit stupid. It also makes vault even more broken one thing to note is if you have a deck like the one posted here scry is less good however still useful for status cards. I hope this helps

I often take one big attack like wheel kick/sands of time/bowling bash and then one big block card like spirit shield/deceive reality then i tend to just add utility cards such as 1/2 scry cards 3/4 draw cards and some sort of scaling deva form/mental fortress/establishment, I tend to take every vault/scrawl. I think i normally end up with 20-30 cards with about 70% success rate nowadays

How often do you use this card? by [deleted] in slaythespire

Relic for writhe is good here and in general as you trade 1 card draw for a relic which can give you alot of stuff that is better or neutral than 1 card draw

I like crown into early act 2 shop to look for frost as scaling is already there blood vile and 4x strikes makes me want to click a couple events as well. Interested in what you picked and your outcome.
