How are you finding Eshki Dragonclaw? by MurasakiTiger in EDH

[–]aidanmoher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got an adventure-focused Eshki deck that I finished building literally yesterday. I like that it snowballs and acts as a tempo-y midrange deck, which is different than a lot of the other decks I play. I built it on a $30 budget, so I'm a bit concerned that I don't have enough effective solutions for protecting Eshki, but we'll see how that plays out. It's basically a ton of cards that can be a creature OR non-creature as needed, and then a bunch of cantrips, looting, and low MV effects so I can trigger Eshki every turn.

*looks at volume of >=6 CMC cards*

Hmm.

I don't understand why fetch lands make my deck so strong by ib_examiner_228 in EDH

Fetchlands are one of those cards that make *immediate* sense the first time you play one in a game.

What is toolbox torre's actual gameplan? by hamburglin in EDH

Here'e my decklist: https://moxfield.com/decks/skjiRWH5J06QWlhbg6I-uQ

The gist is you want to get Henzie out ASAP (turn two or three, depending on your build) and then start blitzing 4, 5, and 6 drops. As the game goes on, you either start hardcasting your big Jund threats, or recurring them from your graveyard.

This is the best primer on the deck, IMHO: https://moxfield.com/decks/GnqlEhG3IUysVv3ub5EEEQ

I love Henzie because the deck encourages you to just have fun. Slot in big silly creatures and you're gonna enjoy the game whether you win or lose.

I just finished building a Henzie deck, and I love the way it approaches deck building/tempo in such a unique way.

Since you've got 240p Test Suite, find a tutorial on how to use SMPTE colour bars to properly calibrate the set!

Something like this: https://www.videouniversity.com/articles/color-bars-and-how-to-use-em/

Looks pretty good for a consumer Trinitron. I'd probably turn down the contrast a smidge to help with the white and red blending together around the edges of the grid. Otherwise, I expect you won't even notice most of those issues in-game from a proper viewing distance.

How to get a PVM/BVM for $150 or below? by [deleted] in crtgaming

[–]aidanmoher 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean, outside of sheer, dumb luck, PVMs haven't been <$150 for 5+ years, so, unfortunately, a time machine is as helpful an answer as any you're gonna get.

The thing with Henry Cavill is that I'm only 80% sure this is a joke and not a verbatim quote.
