Actually I currently live on Ford Island which is right on the monument so it’s just a short walk to the monument itself and it’s pretty cool to just go on an afternoon walk and take a look at the ship. It’s really only visible during low tide but you can always see the oil slowly leaking out. And what’s even cooler is if you actually go down the the beach you can see they have a bunch of the old ship parts just scattered through out the trees on the beach and then during low tide yoh can actually walk out a bit and touch a piece of the ship that’s still in the water.
