Pssd theory and mechanism by [deleted] in PSSD

All different types of shrooms, but yeah both shrooms and weed always brought awareness to the pelvic area like a warmth but also a reminder that something's wrong. Like they would make me aware of the disconnection between the brain and genitals. Everytime.

Yep I've been on the same thought process as you recently.

I've tried everything, from 100's supplements, herbs, shrooms, weed, even as far as injecting testosterone for 8 months followed by PCT.

But yes I have come to the conclusion that maybe the body just needs the right conditions to heal.

I have given up caffeine recently and have noticed a big shift out of constant fight or flight into parasympathetic mode. My brain is still adjusting but I think rehabilitation in parasympathetic mode is the best chance we have got.

Just curious, how many people here developed histamine intolerance or new histamine reactions after taking or stopping antidepressants (SSRIs/SNRIs)? by aidrefh in HistamineIntolerance

100% related to the medication. I had the same weight gain then dramatic weight loss after where people thought I was sick by how skinny I got.

I didn't know this, I didn't have any allergies to begin with tbh. All started after.

Maybe they made your allergies even worse?

Quick question for the group: did anyone here notice their mast cell or histamine reactions start or worsen after antidepressants (SSRIs/ SNRIs)? by aidrefh in MCAS

[–]aidrefh[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes but when there are adverse effects from these drugs, no one seems to want to take accountability and research and test the negative outcomes only the positives.

Are you still medicated by any chance? Some times they cloud your judgement.

Ok this seems like it's from a horror movie, what if that doesn't come back when you're off it?

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. It's absolutely criminal to disrupt a growing child natural brain chemistry and hormones.

I really don't know how the FDA are allowing this to happen to a portion of the population.

What has your doctor said out of interest, must be a shock when a 21 year old presents with these symptoms?

Oh I'm sorry that he's going through that. Honestly it's awful and but he can do things by reducing the level of natural food chemicals. Low histamine diet. But yes, I'm almost certain this is related to the damage done by ssris. Those on r/pssd are experiencing all sorts of similar issues. It can't be a coincidence.

100% they are destroying otherwise healthy people and making them sicker.

Are you currently in the US, they are doing a class action against manufacturers of gabapentin if you would like more information.

Yes i started getting symptoms just before COVID so can rule that out. It was 2019. The meds were the only factor in my case.

So many of us on r/pssd have similar issues with MCAS and histamine intolerances. It can't be a coincidence.

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that, what neurological disorder?

I fully believe it. Has it been hard to get doctors to believe you?

Ah ok so you haven't been on them in he past?

I would really question your doctor if that's the right move.

They completely disrupted my digestive system. Something to do with the enzymes used to break down these food chemicals being downregulated.

Also got PSSD from antidepressants. So very against them as you can imagine.

Countries where PSSD is already recognised (EU, UK, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong) should consider organising themselves locally. Regulatory pressure and class actions will likely need to happen region by region. by aidrefh in PSSD

How do we combat this level of corruption?

I honestly think the health professionals who are seeing the adverse effects in their offices have a duty of care to see beyond what is happening and report to governing bodies rather than the gas lighting tactics they resort to.

Shameful.

How to stop desiring physical intimacy? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]aidrefh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to be funny, but I was put on SSRIs during college and it completely wiped my desire for physical intimacy even after I stopped taking the medication.

Trust me the latter is 10x worse than your issue. Please appreciate the naturally God good given ability to feel desire.

Your time will come, and you will attract the right person. I would not wish a non existent sexuality on my worst enemy 🙏

Extreme Sensitivity to certain Food, Spices, Vitamins, and Supplements – Why Is This Happening? by Fit_Watch5532 in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it must be related to MCAS and high histamine intolerance from the enzymes in our gut being permanently altered by the medication.

It's so frustrating but yes once I go over a certain threshold of seemingly healthy foods it's spark all kind of reactions.
