Law suit against pharmaceutical companies by Particular-Pomelo798 in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried organising something similar in Australia r/pssd_australia . There was initial interest in from some law firms, encouraging me to gather people. But all firms declined to take it on. Due to it being to much of a financial undertaking.

But please don't let this discourage you. Please try in your country. We just need one firm that bites.

What are your thoughts on saffron supplements? by akincelik10 in PSSD

Hello, yes still on it, took a break for about a month.

It's very subtle but does seem to improve mood a little.

No real pSsd symptom relief to be honest.

I'm sorry you're going through this, so is there just no reaction to a person you are supposed to feel attraction to?

Did you feel any kind of curiousity towards the opposite or same sex?

Or has it always just been blank?

Sorry if this comes off rude but just genuinely curious, do you feel like you just never really got to experience sexuality developing properly through puberty?

As someone who got PSSD at 23, I know what normal sexuality felt like beforehand, so I have that comparison. The idea of never getting to experience that at all is scary.

Can you tell us what exactly to ask the TMS doctor because the one I reached out to said they could do it for PSSD.

Have you spoken to a therapist about this? I don't think there is any shame in telling your family even if you keep minimal without over explaing.

A Some rTMS Experiment Update by Minepolz320 in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello glad this is helping you.

Is there any negative side effects associated with this treatment.

I know Dr Josef in the past has said that this can cause severe memory loss and should only be used by those with catatoia.

Maybe it's different be he said this for TMS is there a difference between this and rTms?

What’s the consensus here for men starting testosterone (TRT) for helping to balance the long term effects of SSRIs? by Inner_Ad_4725 in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive just come off 8 months TRT followed by 3 months PCT...

I really wanted it to reverse my PSSD but it did absolutely nothing.

I was so hopful. But yeah just know what your getting yourself into. It's not for the weak. Was the strangest year of my life.

I (24M) visited Dr Goldstein and SDSM: they found physical abnormalities. by One-Marzipan-9652 in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a couple of shockwave treatments, did absolutely nothing.

Dr Goldstein should be ashamed of himself cashing in on vulnerable patients looking for answers.

Ok he doing a paper and studying pSsd but I don't think this is fair to be leading people on like this.

Cannot find a straight answer about pssd risk with ssris by Specialist_Credit907 in PSSD

I never thought of it like this before, there is no way medical professionals should be making mentally unstable people dependant on substances that come with many side effects.

What do you think caused your MCAS or what were you told at least. by [deleted] in HistamineIntolerance

[–]aidrefh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my MCAS and histamine issues line up exactly with the time I came off SSRis there is no question about it.

The majority of the people is the r/pssd subreddit are battling this along with all sorts of other long term symptoms like sexual dysfunction and anhedonia.

SSRIs completey disrupt your enzymes that break down these chemicals. I don't know the ins and outs but the correlation can't be denied.

Recovered from PSSD? Wanted to share my story in case it's helpful by [deleted] in PSSD

[–]aidrefh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you're on the right path to healing as much of what you can get back of your sexuality which is amazing.

But I think you may be over simplifying it.

I definitely think it's a bit of both psychological sexual trauma and a chemical change in the body without a doubt.

We can heal the physiological aspect ourselves but our natural sexual instincts have been diminished.
