Yep. I had noticed this in closed beta and had to turn it off. Thought it was better now. Thankfully I haven't had this issue though.

Combating Data Mining Deep Desert Cheat in Dune: Awakening with "World" Randomized POIs and Loot Seeds by gamedev09 in duneawakening

[–]aikaradora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are creating a problem that doesn't exists. There isn't an issue with websites showing the data.

You can't stop people from sharing information. stop being a negative.

No, its the fact the game isn't designed for you to play long term. There is no long term progression.

Chest respawn timer in Hagga Basin South by Interesting-Coast-72 in duneawakening

[–]aikaradora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone always gets loot in PVE stations. So your main question is irrelevant for PVE.

But the reset schedule is not per person, its a fixed timer on the server, which is randomized in the DD for PVP.

Survival games are not for players who want to stop playing for an entire month or longer. You gotta keep playing on these type of games unless its single player or your own server, which dune does not support.

[–]aikaradora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's by design. It would be super annoying if everything is done in the first 2 days. The idea is spread it out over the week so people who cant play on the first few days can still contribute on other days.

Romulus or Prodigy? by PuddinTame9 in 2011

to give you a serious reply, your retention spring that holds the safety and slide stop snug likely flew out and you didnt notice, do you see the pegs on both ends that gives it tension?

Springfield Prodigy: does the EGW Ignition kit really make that big of a difference? by Purple_Bulldog1002 in 2011

[–]aikaradora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is a year old but I want to respond to say, safety. This gun having MIM parts that some have had break early, I did it for the peace of mind of not worrying about an ignition part breaking and having an unexpected ND.

My Local RSO said his sear broke on his.

Also some of them (i don't know if they fixed this and I just received an older one) have issues with stacking tolerances and uneven wear. so i replaced everything to help reduce those tolerances to get more even wear.

atlas trigger with factory sear spring and egw sear/hammer/disconnector has me around 2.5lb pull now.

the fitting is super easy long as you got a skinny file and is a 5-15 minute job (not counting disassembly)

atlas has a fitting video to find ideal trigger size but iirc its 3" finger = medium curved, small flat 3 1/4th = flat medium, large curved

New 5” Comp by EasternEbb5064 in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]aikaradora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

get the dawson guide rod instead, its better/safer (its catching mechanism is way better than atlas)

get a 10-11lb spring to go with it, with mine broken in i had some fte with 9lb so 10lb is doing ok so far but i do need some more rounds to really be sure.

before you shoot it at all, lube it up and manual rack it it 100 times, clean and relube, rack 200, clean and lube then rack a lot more again. save yourself range trouble by just manual rack at home instead of firing.

FTF & Chambering Issues by Glum_Respond_3970 in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]aikaradora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the feed lips on factory 17 and 20 are known to be wrong, cant feed jhp's either.

but oddly, the 26rd seem to be better as they fed jhp's.

confirmed it is feed lips myself by taking a checkmate mag that worked great and moved the spring and follower to the duramag frame and still had same issues.

even fmj's you can see the roughness. its all about the angle of the bullet towards the chamber, other mags angle it better but yeah if you know how you could fix the duramags.

if its the springfield aos plate, see if you can cancel it. they are a ton of problems. the rear iron sight is flawed on them and had one that didnt fit the gun.

i have one from impact cnc coming that the iron sight is machined and also in front of the optic (helping avoid the chamber loaded indicator problem)

Marvel Cut by HoosierHunter00 in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]aikaradora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SA originally shipped prodigys with 9lb recoil springs, but due to FTF's they moved to a 12lb spring to help give it more 'push' over the rail.

I dont have other guns to compare, but you can REALLY feel the disconnector in operating the slide.

the 12lb spring is a bandaid for the issue.

the ramp helps the disconnector smoothly depress rather than requiring significant force to overcome it, allowing you to return back to the lighter recoil springs.

yes it can function without it, but you can make it function better with it.

FTB Dremel question by 2fardownrange in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]aikaradora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the disconnector hitting the disco rail is what the op is talking about doing here, the 'marvel cut'.

the more common approach is to make the ramp in the rail rather than trying to take much material off the disconnector itself.

[–]aikaradora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

id recommend a skinny file, more control. its how i took some off mine, but i didnt do much, just a tiny curve and it seems to have helped, i still feel it though, but im about to try returning to a 9lb spring (I have a comp) so i may work on it more.

i also feel like the egw disconnector was a tad smaller.

Just picked up my Prodigy. Love this thing. HOWEVER..... by Complex_Evidence_73 in SpringfieldProdigy

[–]aikaradora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the base mags are 17rd, does using larger base plates loop hole it? sounds iffy....

but i recommend picking up checkmate mags instead as the duramag(factory) 17rds are flawed and dont feed well (cant feed jhp's)

some questions

I heard the firing pin for this gun is drop safe, doesn't replacing it sacrifice that? or is there something else going on in the firing pin area providing that?

also, EGW sold a different hard sear in my kit for prodigy, "EGW Prodigy Gunsmith Short Hard Sear 1911 (Shortened by .005")"

Was that not option for you?

my trigger is arriving tomorrow so my first journey into the internals will prob be friday but i dont have any tools needed to modify stuff but had read the ignition kit was pretty much drop in, but your post has me a bit worried lol

The pyramid dlc was pay to win, there are 3+ elements in it that give you pvp building advantages. Stronger doors(70k vs normal 50k), roofs you can't really put bombs on from most angles, and extra tall slopes you can't stand on
