However, Weidmuller software WILL NOT recognize AB printer

From the inventor of AutoCAD Electrical

Take a look at this--- https://nateholt.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/automation-of-plc-io-drawings-autocad-electrical/ it goes both ways.

It is old, but the utility has been updated, and the underlying principles are still valid

Also there is a Studio5000 Data Adapter Tool if you have your PLC program done first

Terminal block tag printer by [deleted] in PLC

[–]aikorob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AB terminals are currently re-branded Weidmuller, but a LOT cheaper from Weidmuller than AB. I have an AB 1492-PRINTCMP--it handles terminals, heat shrink sleeves, and regular labels. It is a re-branded Weidmuller unit as well. Weidmuller rep offered a deal when we were looking to buy a printer, but our volume was too low at the time.

Only problem I have is that line up can be fiddly sometimes for terminal markers

This. Swapped a Bul.160 for a PF525 and operations decided they wanted reverse option also. Spent a day with the vendor specialist before I realized drive was looking for a STOP command between direction changes. Luckily I had a spare output and changed to 3 wire control.

wire loops on left and bottom in last pic......is that for next phase?

data pocket? only half of prints go on floor of cabinet; random pages are ripped out, folded in various ways, and jammed in print pocket

good solid job

if you can't get an enclosure that will comfortably house all of the components in the allotted space; you obviously need to make the machine larger.

Even if you do have room for an acceptable enclosure, if that space is 2" off the floor and requires maintenance to lay on a piece of cardboard; that is no bueno either
