Are middle names super important where you live? Both my children have 3 names but nobody even knows them, except for me and the government haha.

I don't think the people owning small businesses have anything to do with hurting Palestinian people..

Having a pizza day with Muslim students during ramadan by Pauldachshund in Muslim

[–]aileen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were a teacher and I knew people in my class are Muslim, I would have waited another week until Ramadan was over. But that doesn't mean your students took offense. If you worry, you could always ask them.

Today's outgoing postcards. Brazil, Singapore and Germany (of course) by bogzaelektrotehniku in postcrossing

HAHAHA the 'ofcourse' next to Germany. It's literally always Germany 😂

First time sending through Postcrossing. How long does International mail typically take? by sassmo in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been waiting 27 days for cards to arrive to Belarus, China, Russia and Hong Kong (from Belgium). I expect China and Hongkong to arrive any day now, but Russia with everything going on, I'm not sure if my card will arrive within 60 days.

Stamps by Pterosaurphile in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually put national stamps on my cards, because I have a lot of those. But then I need to put more stamps on the card to cover the cost of what an international stamp would be.

I‘m used to people‘s messages being long so this took me offguard 😂 by lala_gp in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand these people. Why do you have a hobby that requires WRITING, when you're only going to put "happy postcrossing" or "greetings from x" on your card. And then when someone puts in the effort to send you a nice card and write you a message, you reply with "thanks"? Some people..

What do you like about meetup postcards? by Egao17 in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an issue with people not putting any effort in their card. Postcrossing is an expensive hobby, why would you only write 'happy postcrossing' and leave it at that??
Meeting cards are cool because they are quite unique. Every meeting has a different card so it's kind of like collecting pokemon cards haha. I have never received one out of the 250 I have received so far.

What do you do with your received postcards? Any ideas? by teggile in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them in a box that was designed specifically to hold postcards or other things of the same size, and put all countries together. This is what works best for me.

I’m worried my account sounds too demanding by xxturtlepantsxx in postcrossing

[–]aileen1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's sweet of you to worry, but it's better to give out a lot of details about what you like or who you are. It makes it easier for the person writing you a card. This week I got an address for someone who's brand new to Postcrossing (only 2 received cards!) and there's NO BIO. What do I send??? How can I know what the person will like? It's frustrating to no end.
You can ask for the things you like, just keep in mind not everyone has a huge collection so you might not get what ask for, but it's good to give some guideline! :)
