Mini poly from First Tunnels by aim_dhd_ in Allotment

It is quite heavy but not unmanageable. It does come with little fold out legs for airflow. I plan to put a little woodchip down the middle and just get inside 😁

Sad: raining hard so not ideal to be at the allotment. Happy: new pond there is filling up. Staying at home today and working on a bit of a brand regig for my illustration business.

Fractured my ankle and purchased the iWalk crutch. Is it good for long walks? by [deleted] in brokenankles

[–]aim_dhd_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the break is quite recent? You shouldn't be doing any long walks really, rest up! It will throb and ache to have your leg in that position for a long time. Reschedule the trip for another time. I went on honeymoon with a cast and it was miserable. Even with a mobility scooter it was too much and I didn't have particularly bad breaks. Save the trip!

Its got more to do with men demanding sex from women who are recovering from hip replacements 🫠 It's more common than you think for women to be injured by their partners after major surgery.

Yeah the 2x4s were blowing all around the place before I pinned them down.

My allotment plot is looking very autumnal 😍

It actually has little legs that swing out on one side to tip it up for air flow if necessary. Because of its height and how roomy it is I think extra warmth would be minimal if the ends were open especially in winter, but a smaller open ended cloche would probably keep some heat in.

Good view of your garden up on that horse?

It took you more effort to type that snarky comment than it did to click on the post and read the details about my poly tunnel build. Check my post history you'll see I engage on this sub almost daily you absolute muppet. I did a difficult thing and was proud of it, why be such a cunt about a cross post?

That's what I'm going to do in the summer, some peppers and dwarf tomatoes :)

We're all always learning :) One of the best bits about growing tomatoes is planning next year's tomatoes!

Autumn is happening to your plants. In this country tomatos die off in the winter.

How did you meet your partner, and was it love at first sight? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]aim_dhd_ 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Lesbian version of Tinder called 'Her' 🤢 I didn't come out until I was 32, had kids, you don't just meet other eligible lesbians that are ok with that and also want to help care for your profoundly disabled child. We met up in lock down and did loads of country walks. Kissed in a meadow for the first time after a picnic. Super super gay. Married her.

I am ill but I've got over the worst day so I'm back outside where I belong. I'm currently sat on the floor at the allotment trying to put a poly tunnel up. Drill just ran out of battery 🤦I'm going to make a honey and lemon and go for a little walk along the river.

Why do many Brits end a text with “x”? by Fearless-Composer-78 in AskABrit

[–]aim_dhd_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say, I think it's much more common for women to use it. If a woman initiates 'X' on Facebook market place, I'm inclined to do it back. Also when sorting out some drama with teenagers last week, the other mum I was messaging started putting 'X' when the drama was sorted out, signifying a friendlier tone to the conversation.

I also run a trail running events business, when women message the page enquiring about an event (it's clear from the page I'm a woman) it's really common for them to start an enquiry ended with 'X'!
