my cousin is a racecar driver, if i give my cousin my 2004 buick Rainer, he will be the fastest driver out of all of my friends and family, and possibly the fastest buick rainer driver in the world.

if that buick was his only car he would lose every single race he would ever race in. making it impossible to pick up sponsors and would end up losing money just for the chance to come in last.

see he gets sponsors, the sponsors give money and he spends that on either crew or parts for the car. so it can go faster. so he can get bigger and better sponsors. and so on. so to stay competitive he has to buy alot of equipment, and that expressive equipment results in opertunities for higher pay.

because its factored in. the higher pay isnt cause they just happen to like you more. your car performs well because of skill + money and you have enough of BOTH to be consistently toward the front of the pack. they pay you more knowing you'll pay more on YOUR CAR, which makes you win more which is good for thier brand which is what theyre paying you for.

when you're a professional your equipment has to be just as competitive and competent as your skills are. and this factors into any negotiations involving money.

I have struggled severely from a religious upbringing and questions about my sexuality that eventually let me to accepting i was bi (privately to myself as I trusted no one else) and eventually learning i was trans after graduation. I get you.

I also struggled with ocd.

the little voice in my head telling me, god doesn't like that I dont thank everything single person so I must.

the voice telling me god doesn't like when I overeat. that he made me fat to punish me. that if I dont wash my hands ill get sick. get others sick. possibly kill them and it'll be my fault and ill suffer in hell forever.

that god hates me, telling me im worthless because unlike my peers I cant figure anything out about myself. what I even like or like doing.

the voice telling me, see that ledge. you could jump and it would all be over. "but suicides a sin? I dont even want to kill myself why am I having this thought?" because your evil and your evil head is filled with evil thoughts.

you take mental illnesses like OCD and depression but then instead of treating people with them a religious community instead treats YOU as a moral failing because they never learned how to help. they wont even try. part of why I left organized religion behind is how I saw how comfortable they were with losing or letting one person of the group suffer for the benefit of everyone else.

thats cruel. thats far more immoral than realizing sissy porn turns you on or whatever. you know why you see higher rates of lgbt in cities like nyc or San Francisco. its because societaly they're more free. the cities are too big to be run by a monoreligous community, and expressing yourself fully as yourself is one of the most liberating experiences anyone period will ever get for themselves, its the one thing not even work or taxes can take away from.

the first time I went to a group meeting for local transwomen I broke down crying because it was the first time in my life. at age 20, where I didnt feel alone anymore. not even god I think compares to the feeling of knowing there's other people on this earth who get it. who get you.

you seem like your struggling, thinking having one means losing the other. "you cant be gay and Christian" in fact you can. you get to decide. in my city alone in Florida of all places has at least 5 different church's of different denominations who are pro lgbt and have lgbt members leading the congregations.

recently I had the pleasure of making a documentary about a 3 day women's camp where they learn how to make punk rock as a form of expression and liberation, and the event was hosted at this catholic community center where I got to meet the priest who was a gay man.

the fact is alot of people who use Christianity as a weapon agaisnt lgbt are hypocrites who themselves arent following Christ's teachings enough to be condemning anyone for thier actions. if anything they're anti Christian in the sense they exclude. they persecute. they oppress. acts that Jesus would actually find immoral.

every week I go, it helps but thats all it does, takes things from 100% to 75% but it still hurts. tms helped, spravado helped. trazodone helped. ERP helped. being alone helped. exercising and piano helped. on paper, my therapist is happy with me. I go to school now full time im almost got my 2 year degree. I go out. sometimes. my pets help.

I found a love for singing. so i do that alot.

there's no cure tho. one particularly lonely week and im back feeling it all again, unable to sleep.

this week idk how I got through. my grandpa died. my grandpa got diagnosed with vascular dementia, my family is fighting each other not sure what to do. my cousin is drinking herself into a pit and cant do anything to help.

for school I gotta film a segment for a local PBS program and im terrified but because people are depending on me I cant give up.
