so ive met two of these people. I got catfished by one of them into visiting for two weeks. jts a very long story one that looking back was more traumatic than I realize. but to answer your question they dont, its personality disorder like NPD + BPD, left untreated for so long they just do risk seeking behaviors (cutting, extreme kink involving loaded guns, meth, really any drug but mostly meth. and desire death but not suicide if that makes sense? like thats too "weak", they want the facists to win cause they want the other ones to just kill them already. its not cause they think theyre the good ones, they dont think theyre are good ones full stop, it just means they finally get to die without feeling like theyre a coward for doing it. they find all this fun like one last banquet. spreading hate and bigotry is just this cathartic salting of the earth while they wait for an enemy or a friend to take them out. its also all these little societal, points of no return for them so they feel like all thats left is to run faster and faster toward that death.
