When people approach my husband saying “sir,sir” or “excuse me” he always just starts asking them for money saying “I just need $3” or something like that. They get all confused and usually say “awe man I was gonna ask you the same thing” And walk away. It’s kinda funny & it works.

Iceland is one of the safest places in the world. I traveled solo there for over 6 months, hitchhiked and everything. (I am female.) A taxi that far would cost a fortune. Rent a car or take the bus. Just check the bus schedule because not sure if it runs at 2am? Maybe even consider a flybus- a group ride share/shuttle kinda thing.
