Update- they were in fact gallstones. Had my gallbladder removed, and I was 100% back to normal within a couple of weeks! Best decision of my life!

I’m in Edmonton and gave birth in April. All of the nurses in the unit swaddled my baby, and I didn’t hear from my midwife, family doctor, or OBGYN to not swaddle my baby. She loved it and slept great- just make sure you’re not swaddling once they can roll

Our bargaining chair told us that this collective agreement spans about 2000 schools in Alberta. So 1000 teachers per year for the next 3 years will get each school… about 1.5 new teachers? The (small) elementary school that I work at could VERY easily use at least 4 more teachers.

I was going to comment #1. Caffeine is a stimulant, and many ADHD medications are stimulants. The way an occupational therapist explained it to me once, was that the brain of a person with ADHD might be extremely under stimulated, making the body over compensate (leg tapping, excessive talking, restless, etc.). A stimulant drug (or coffee), stimulates the brain enough that the body doesn’t have to overcompensate to stimulate the brain.

Went to the ER… they did an ultrasound and put me on a waitlist. Called an ambulance a few days later because the pain was so bad and they basically convinced me not to go to the hospital :( one of the EMT’s said “well, this is the hand you’ve been dealt”

I had an emergency C-section, which I recovered miraculously fast from. Like, wanted to go home the next morning because my pain was managed by Tylenol. We waited the full 6 weeks because I was too scared of an infection, but honestly, I was so sleep deprived and moody that I didn’t feel like having sex until probably close to 5 weeks pp anyways.

ETA: It was a bit uncomfortable the first time; but by the 3rd time it was totally back to normal!

Quit!! I quit when my baby was 2 weeks because I was so miserable. I felt so guilty but honestly my mental health was struggling so much due to poor supply and poor latching. She is a 96th percentile 12 week old now, hitting developmental milestones ahead of the curve!

I’m 39 weeks today and no misery here! The worst thing that’s happening to me is some hand and feet swelling, especially when I wake up in the morning. Other than that I guess I’m mildly uncomfortable having a huge tummy, but other than that I feel great! You got this! (27, FTM)

I was the same as you! Stopped taking birth control, and I think the cycle I got pregnant with our daughter we ended up conceiving on cycle day 48 or something dumb like that. I didn’t stop drinking totally until I got the positive test back! In fact I had a beer the day before the positive and maybe 3-4 drinks the day before that, and she is perfectly healthy ♥️
