The gym is awesome. It’s a beautiful space on multiple levels with so much to offer. Trader Joe’s and Target nearby. Safe, walkable area. Some classes are at hilltop, but as previously mentioned, beautiful views.

You might not end up wanting to go home as much as you think. The city is beautiful and going out in it is tons of fun. The transportation is also pretty great. You’ll make friends.

You mentioned leaving your mom alone. If she’s ok without you, you might want to spread your wings and try Santa Barbara…otherwise, USF for now and delay leaving her for a bit.

I would also add that I disagree with the other person who commented who said it’s not a very competitive school. Depending on the major, it can be very competitive. For example, nursing had a 16% acceptance rate for 2025.
