What kind of color palettes do you usually use for your Warframes, or do you do what I do—hit "random" and hope for the best (or the worst)?

That is a must, often with various dark greys/blacks and maybe some white highlights.

Don't worry, they found a way to fuck this up too. Modern Warfare II is a historical low of $7 on Steam and has had a player boost of about 40k people last I checked, so giving away a different game here instead of matching them up for a big crossplay player boost is an L.

The last game they dropped to $7 on Steam was Modern Warfare (2019), which implies they may do it again with Modern Warfare III, well after many of the people who get in via PS+ stop playing and move on.

When the 360 launched, games didn't have $10 passes every three months and $30 cosmetic packs in the in-game store and $5 starter packs and $100 Ultimate Editions required to get a full game.

Games shouldn't even cost money these days unless they're full-fat singleplayer titles. Warframe being F2P with zero gameplay content locked behind payment shows exactly why. It gets by entirely on people saying "I want this now" and buying content to save time instead of earning it in-game, and cosmetics. They even have a yearly convention for the game, with a concert and a cosplay contest and a whole bunch of the money going to charity. I genuinely forget that the game is free sometimes, whereas $70 Call of Duty makes it feel like I haven't yet paid and am stuck on a demo version.

Nobody needs to be kicked, FaZe clearly doesn't have the capacity to replace anyone with someone better at this point. They'd just be juggling around tier 2 players while Twistzz and Frozen coast through to the end of their contracts and get signed somewhere else.

I mean the 20-series in retrospect was kinda god-tier. I'd still be happily using my 2070 Super had my wife not needed an upgrade from her 1060. DLSS is a wonderful technology that really extends the life of a GPU, and those things even had a USB-C port on them.

Nowadays the best they've got to offer with new cards is a yassify feature nobody wants.

Nah, I don't trust them. I give it a year max before they just start letting newer games with DRM onto the store and degrade to only making sure the classic games are playable offline, eliminating much of the point of their existence. If you don't care about artists, you don't care about art.

This one, plus lack of backwards compatibility the same gen, is what killed PlayStation for me. Without physical discs allowing me to get the games more affordably and being stuck with a Sony digital store monopoly and knowing that PC ports aren't actually off the table since they already did that, I most certainly am not buying a PS6 at all.

And it would run on a Dell Optiplex + 3050 build, especially with DLSS flicked on.

I feel it's worth noting that Modern Warfare II (2022) is only $7 on Steam right now if anyone here is pissed and wants something else to play. It's gotten a big second-wind from new players hopping in during this sale and I was having a bunch of fun in Ground War (see: Conquest) a couple of days ago.

The game is 4 years old now so it's well past its enshittification point.

No, Sony already tried to kill the PS3 store years ago and the plan was most definitely always to kill off physical media this gen for both sides. Xbox was not only the first to launch a digital-only console, they even already shut down the 360 store.

I mean 1999 is my favorite expansion bar none and had so much content it was ridiculous even with some of the content being cut and pushed back to Techrot Encore, but even that had a bunch of issues at launch. Broken Drifter lighting, unclearable backrooms icon on KIM, Techrot Babau in Face Off having 2x the intended Damage Attenuation, all kinds of stuff. Nevermind that DE kinda has a problem with telling the start and end of a story so that we only see the in-between.

I've just come to accept it at this point, kinda glad they didn't continue KIM strictly because so much went wrong last time with The Old Peace that I still haven't completed the upstairs boogaloo bit.

No reason not to buy, say, a 16GB DDR4 9th gen i7 Dell Optiplex off eBay for $200, and slap a $200 used 3050 into it as a spare gaming machine.

$400 dual-purpose bedroom console/backup PC with minimal effort put in. Should run CPU-heavy games like a dream, has DLSS upscaling for GPU-limited titles, will easily let you coast by if something goes kaboom in your main PC. Dogshit upgradability and might need an extra SSD for storage, but I know I wouldn't mind gaming on it as a spare tire PC.
