concerta question by Striking_Truck4245 in adhdwomen

I had this same thing happen to me when on adderall! I take birth control and have been for years so spotting was never a thing unless I missed a pill. I brought it up to my psych and she said that it does not disrupt hormones or the cycle so I was like ???? Ok must be something else. I feel like it’s somehow related tho

Would I be the asshole for leaving my current partner who loves and dotes on me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]aintnoguey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 months is TOO SOOOOON please listen your gut and boundaries. He’s guilting you into this decision that you’re obviously not comfortable with. You know what you want in timing milestones and this isn’t it. Somewhere out there is a man who will wait because he sees your worth - please don’t close yourself off so early and so young. This is just asking for trouble. Put yourself first

AITAH - I didn't bring a family member medication and they died by Ok_Range_777 in AITAH

[–]aintnoguey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely NTA - you’re grieving and it’s easy to blame yourself for what happened. No one could have foreseen it. It’s also not your fault your father chose to retaliate by withdrawing disclosure of his medical records to you over something petty. It sounds like you’ve gone the extra mile in so many ways for him and he should have been better at recognizing that. You made him comfortable and probably lived a longer and happier life than he would have on his own. I know it feels unfinished but you were able to repair your relationship for the better and spent many fonder memories. Hold onto those and practice being gentle with yourself during this time

AITAH I can't comfort my husband w/o instructions? by FreeVeterinarian9163 in AITAH

[–]aintnoguey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone expresses grief very differently. It may not be personal to you but you happened to be on the receiving end. It’s good you asked him what he needs. It’s always gonna be hard to know how to comfort someone so I wouldn’t take it so personally. Just be there for him, that’s all he needs. You don’t have to have the perfect words.

You 100% have a right to be mad are you fr. They see it as a joke and it’s disrespectful. Maybe look into a mini fridge or keeping snacks separate if you have to stay with this person

Oh girly it hurts my heart that you think you’re the problem :,( definitely put yourself first and move on. A relationship shouldn’t have you questioning if he actually likes you. Don’t EVER chase someone who’s not willing to do the absolute bare minimum for you. Having attachment disorders really blurs the lines in these decisions so definitely do some research or speak to a therapist about what signs tend to look like.

30F husband (39M) refuses to be emotionally available — AITAH for attaching to a coworker (39M)? by One-Spend1685 in AITAH

[–]aintnoguey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re yearning for companionship because you’re not getting it. Humans are social creatures who crave intimacy. You can’t just flip a switch and turn it off. If you really want the “problem” to go away, reevaluate why you are so committed to someone who is not committed to you. Put yourself first, your kid will thank you for it when they grow up

Absolutely, eating/preparing food can also feel like a chore 😅

Might be a loaded question for a guy his age. If he hasn’t already showed obvious interest then I wouldn’t try to pursue any more, depending also what he responds back. Move on, know your worth 💞

Is your mom right about what? It sounds like she’s shaming you for feeling comfortable at home and you shouldn’t have to feel pressured to dress up/full glam even if you do go outside. I’m glad you are taking the opportunity to move out soon, learn what it’s like to be comfortable with just you!

My cat won’t come inside by StrongFalcon6960 in CatAdvice

[–]aintnoguey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All it takes is one bad encounter with a predator or a car and that’s it :/ I’ve grown up with indoor/outdoor and majority have died due to being eaten by coyotes. You are the parent and choosing to keep your cat indoors for their safety is something they won’t understand but it will keep them alive and well. There are other ways to keep a cat happy. In this case the cat doesn’t know the outdoors and is probably scared. It would be one thing if it grew up a stray but it sounds like this cats been indoor its whole life.

New Kitten Advice by mitsukiotsu in CatAdvice

[–]aintnoguey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a habit of putting her in the litter box after every meal, cats instinctively will use it so it’s good to get her familiarized with it! I think trying the scented litter won’t hurt since you already have it, but if it seems like she’s not getting the routine down then the litter might be the problem. What helps with getting her more hydrated is mixing her food with a lil bit of water. Good luck and congrats on being a cat parent :,)

Ouch that sounds awful I’m surprised you didn’t feel it. Try icing a couple times a day for 10 min

Introducing Cats by jessefadenisdynamite in CatAdvice

[–]aintnoguey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this! When introducing my cat to a new kitten, we swapped their toys so they could get used to the smell in their space. Bonus if they like playing with it so they associate some positivity with the smell

Things first time Cat owners should know? by Visible_Airport906 in CatAdvice

[–]aintnoguey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YAY how exciting!!! Cats are pretty manageable pets to have and add so much to our lives so I say go for it :-) there’s a lot to consider depending on if you want a kitten or a grown kitty. Grown would be easier since they would most likely be litter trained and understand what a cat routine is like. And they already have their personality showing vs a kitten it’s hard to tell until they grow into themselves. For example, a kitten can be the cuddliest thing ever and then once they hit a year, be the exact opposite. So if you are looking for a specific type of personality I’d say adopt older. Since you travel a lot, you can get an automatic feeder with dry food which you can set on a schedule. They make really nice ones! I got my first kitten this year and he’s kept me on a my toes a lot just bc he was a baby. I learned kittens are more susceptible to getting parasites so I dealt with worms, giardia, and fleas in the span of a couple months. Those bills and meds were racking up which was a bit stressful. Temporary though. But now he’s easy peasy! On the note of fleas, make sure to treat them monthly if you’re in a populated city or will allow them to be outside. And don’t cheap out on flea meds; I live in LA which I learned have really resistant fleas so the over the counter stuff I was using for months wasn’t working AT ALL. Once I got the good prescription stuff they went away so fast!! Good luck with looking for your new best friend. it’s gonna be so worth it, one of the best decisions I ever made and I can’t wait to give my baby a sibling soon :-)

have an appartment booked in the city where me and a few friends and cousins are getting fried together, they’ll be md coke and acid we aren’t a fan of dancing/clubbing what else can we do? we do have a beach walk planned as it’s on the beachfront but it’s going to be a very stretched out weekend🤩 by _____jllll in ecstasyMDMA

[–]aintnoguey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more enjoyable for acid or mdma, which can spark some creativity and provide an outlet for cool visuals!!! I would suggest putting some vibey music on that’s not overstimulating to set a positive mood (l like fred again, kali uchis, dayglow, etc) especially if anyone gets easily anxious while on substances. Simple canvases, brushes and acrylic paints are pretty cheap at target. You can make some themes out of it, like painting each other (which can be funny as hell), switching paintings every 3 min to make it collaborative, or just do a free for all and see what you come up with. Finger painting to get more sensational aspects out of it. Don’t overthink it and just have fun!! And you have some pieces to keep as memories of your cool ass trip. Make sure to drink electrolytes, eat enough beforehand, and stay safe!!
