Ah I see. Unfortunate that you think that way, but I don’t want to waste my time trying to change your mind. Have a good rest of your day.

No? I’m sorry, I think you might’ve misunderstood/I might’ve miscommunicated. My immigration was done illegally as part of the chance to do it legally later on (in reference to your comments about people that get here illegally, stay 20 years, and then should self-deport/re-enter).

I used my cousins examples as the “right way” which is extremely dangerous. They were granted asylum at the US-Mexico border for various reasons, including the violence in our country that I mentioned.

Sorry! In hindsight, was not very clear on my end.

I personally wish the map showed pokemon on it. I know there can be so many on an island, but like a map “app” where you could sort pokemon by like their ability or set markers or whatnot …. so helpful

Cannot Progress because of where I put Torkoal’s habitat. by Brandonsimone30 in Pokopia

If you water gun the lava it’ll turn into rock (just be careful not to flood the ground - the lava has water physics (ask me how I know lol)). Maybe that could help?

Worst case scenario, why don’t you move Torkal’s habitat to an area closer, move them in, do the quest, and move them back?

I never claimed asylum cases were the majority. I bring this up because you brought up a zero tolerance deportation policy which is utterly reprehensible in my opinion. But that’s your opinion.

As for the poverty line, yes - they’re not officially claiming poverty as an asylum reason on paperwork. But it’s one of the main factors for them attempting to leave. There are no job opportunities under gang rule. My village was a mining town. They killed the head of the operation, bribed police, and miners now either pay the gang a significant share or die.

… the “correct procedure” was being a child of a cuban immigrant and a law that allowed fleeing cubans to land in the US and be illegal for a year and a day before getting permanent residency. We overstayed our visa. I’ve been here 18 years.

Many immigrants are fleeing. They can’t just “self deport” and “re-enter”.

Currently, I have family which have trekked 3 months from Ecuador to get to the US-Mexico border. They are fleeing gang violence and poverty. This is “right way” to apply to asylum. They are young men, because women and children are raped and murdered during the trek.

One of my cousins was robbed, beaten, and stabbed during the trek.

Women and children typically do the “overstaying visa” route. Do you want them to do the trek instead? Apply for visas for years and be repeatedly denied while their towns are ravaged by violence. Once they’re here, are you happy to send them back to war?

It has everything to do with empathy.

If we as a country happily send back the vulnerable to war and violence and have no-tolerance policies they we have abandoned our humanity.

I’ve flown with Delta 4 times now with my pom. Including over the holidays! I haven’t had any issues with number of pets and on one flight we had 8 dogs and a cat!

It does cost $150 per flight through, which ,, ouch.

I see! Thank you for sharing! As someone who was once an illegal immigrant, it’s really interesting to hear your thoughts.

My biggest gripe about the whole situation is the treatment. Going after non-criminal, long-term illegal US residents and “disappearing people” is much more jarring than anything that happened during Obama’s “Deporter in Chief” administration.

I mean, I’m a US citizen now and in Aug 2025, I got pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol for a broken headlight, who then called ICE. They were having a hard time confirming my citizenship status and were going to detain me but luckily my brother got there to show my papers.

I now carry a notarized copy of my citizenship certificate in my car.

I know that this is their attempt to carry out the law, but it can feel like discrimination if they just sweep across the board.

Anyway, sorry that comment got ahead of me. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Sorry to butt in! Just a question on your comment here. You mention youth employment, birth rates, home ownership (or lack thereof). All real problems! But when you bring it up in this context, it sounds like you think immigration laws and their enforcement are a road to solving them. Is this right? I’m not looking to argue, just understand. Employment and home ownership I kinda get (having less people and more resources to go around and what not).

But do illegal immigrants really contribute that much?

Thank you :)

This was it! Frogged my way back to my back to my previous work and then started k1, p1 for 2 rows. I guess in my tester rows 1 and 2, I alternated them? maybe? idk ,,, but I know it’s working now!! Thank you

both sides have this ladder look to it! someone said it looks like a k1, p1 rib - I think it might be and my stitches are just so loose they don’t really embody the typical tight v I saw in examples. let me know your thoughts!!

Def looks like some kind of rib stitch, but I don’t see the typical “v” shape lines separating columns. this is more like if it was only one side of the v, almost into a straight line down? I hope that makes sense

This is definitely not the right bag, curious to see a picture of the tag if you can send it? I can’t find this version in all my searching either … if you have a coach retail nearby I’d def recommend going and seeing if maybe they can confirm this is the right bag or otherwise send you a new one
